I have a small addiction that now and again comes out! So hardly ever bet when I do I would rather have the buzz of winning big than picking up small amounts.

And I know a little bit about golf really. Struck me as a reasonable bet at 20/1.

Agreed, i only ever bet on gold these days. Small amounts generally 2.50 each way, but you get real value in the golf so there is a chance of a good pay day

Im in St Andrews at the moment and can tell you the weather is horrific.. Announcement to be made in the next half hour as to whether the Champions tournament due to start at 3.30 will happen or not. Storm force winds and torrential rain ...if its half as bad as this tomorrow ..it will still be god awful.

Was it Carnoustie where Sandy Lyle FLOUNCED off the course after 9 holes with his bottom lip all over the shop cos it was a bit windy and he'd shot something like a 50 on the front 9 ? Marvellous tartan tantrums.

9/1. Tiger woods is a decent price at 7/1 too imo. If you want a big price

Its going to be a LONG four days ! Luckily im doing a camera on the ground,following groups, so i (a) dont have to follow balls against a grey sky...(which is a cameramans nightmare) and (b) i can keep warmish as we have to walk the course as the R and A have banned golf buggies on the fairways !!

I know he has never done anything at the Open but after winning the Masters and a top 6 finish in the US Open i've had a score on Mickelson at 18/1..Also just a couple of quid on a couple of 100/1 shots, Darren Clarke and Thomas Bjorn.
