I know I'm high on some outstanding GB performances, today.

But can we worry the big 2?

Cycling will weigh in, Murray, Mo again, Brownlee (sp)

No chance bothering the front 2 but third will be truly great. How did Ainsley get on in the sailing today? Still on for medals in the equestrian events I think then we have the rest of the cycling and hopefully Murray can pull off something outstanding tomorrow. Another couple of sailing events as well.

We'll smash 20. I reckon at least 25.
Fingers crossed, although I can't take too many more nights like this.

It is possible in a mathematical sense to do at some stage in time over a series of games spanning many many years-but even with the results of 2008 and home advantage this year i still expect us to finish 5th at very best.

This!

Feeling very proud to be British.

A massive thank you to Seb Coe, Boris & everyone who brought the Olympics to London. I really do not want this to end.

Don't thank the tories, they just grabbed the glory after Labour delivered it!

Not really the law of averages says over many years given our population disadvantage in relation to the top 2,the said top 2 will have a poor games,we over achieve and we could finish above them..

with 8 days of serious track and field events to come i expect us to slip down the table..

Don't thank the tories, they just grabbed the glory after Labour delivered it!

Blair, Coe, and many others of opposing political leanings got us here.

And BBC pointed out that the funding and vision for elite sport began c. 1994 (Major in Government).

Petty party politics don't come into this. It's been a massive effort by many.
