Not in West Worthing it's not. Are you sure it's not the ashes from the burnt out cars in Durrington :D

It might be the remains of the destroyed Sycorax ship torchwood destroyed?

If you look here, the next snow is coming down through sussex from the North

It's getting heavier out.. so maybe as Durrington is a little further north than West Worthing, we're getting the southern edge of the latest 'streamer'.

A good inch and a half in Haywards Heath, hoping for more overnight!

freezing in coventry but no major snow storms

you'll get the low moving north tomorrow evening... you're far enough west to avoid the warm sector and higher temps that might affect the eastern areas.

After fannying around all day with the odd flake drifting around, it is finally snowing steadily here in Storrington. Probably only an inch or so at the moment, sorry 2.5cm for our younger viewers!

Just a quick one - how long do you expect the current cold snap to last (for the north midlands)?
(my interest is just in the temperatures)

Well, from the latest raw model output... for Manchester, which is the nearest locality the publish easy to get hold of ensemble forecasts for:

http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/MT2_Manchester_ens.png

It looks like close to zero for the whole week.

To explain, the lines are all different forecast runs, each with slightly different algorithms and starting conditions, so there is good agreement on a cold spell...

Is that ok?

I had a feeling that band or 'streamer' might just clip us at some point. Looks quite an extensive stream too.

Any idea how the trains have faired in the past with snow? Wanting to get to Wales tomorrow from Haywards Heath, what do you reckon my chances are?
