Pictures from the field of dreams at about 4pm this afternoon. Note the new ski jump they seem to be including now.

Just poked my head outside... it's still snowing outside... nothing heavy ... yet.

Still coming down at a good rate in West Worthing.

What is your prediction for Worthing overnight and tomorrow oh new NSC weather guru?!

I can see the showers getting more organised up wind of us, and there's an area of snow coming off France that might clip the coast later as well... I'd say we'll have a covering (nothing too much), and then we might see something special tomorrow... with the more organised snow coming in.

I'm a pessimist when it comes to snow, as it's been so many years without anything worthwhile, so fingers crossed... the longer term outlook is cold all week, with a chance of snow throughout.

I like the idea of well organised snow. :)

I can imagine it not merely drifting aimlessly, but all stepping up together in a neat line to catch the weather forecasters offside every single time.

Papa Lazarou is wise to it though.

cheers for the link.

It looks like the weather from the south is going to be our significant event. Is that how you are reading it?

Or will the east and south systems battle over Sussex?

Correct.. the main event is the low pressure moving up from France.. all forecasts seem to have it reaching to about the Isle of wight... so I guess it wouldn't take too much of a change in trajectory for it to miss the Western parts of the county, but I think we'll see a fair amount of snow tomorrow... after that anything is possible.

Tonight's snow is nice, as it sets the table for the main course tomorrow, plis with sub zero temps (even under cloud) the ground will be ready to receive the snow!
