Yes, I know it was a tough road game against one of the best teams in the league.....but jeez the Browns looked bad again.

16 years now since an opening weekend win?:facepalm:

Hail to the Football Team. What a game for Washington. Showed composure in the face of a 17point deficit and took advantage of a weakened Philly O line to beat the crap out of Carson Wentz. The D looks every bit as good as advertised, once they were in rhythm they did not let up. So pleased for the old man Kerrigan taking Dexter Manley's sack record and excited about the young man from Ohio State who was a nuisance all game long.

As for Haskins, poor start but he rallied the team at halftime and looked more comfortable in the more uptempo offence. It was also encouraging that Washington took full advantage of the two turnovers to take 14 points, this would not have happened under Gruden, the game would have been an ugly loss.

The Eagles were banged up, the offence was sloppy early on so I am not going to get too carried away, but I sure as hell willl enjoy this win to the max as we rarely get an excuse to celebrate them.

oh and Dallas lost!

Nothing worse than being the last game of opening weekend. As I won't be getting up at 3:15am to watch the Broncos game live, it will be the usual watch it through on fast forward to see the game before starting work.

Probably helped by no fans when 0-17.

That said there wouldn't have been many Washington fans in the stadium, even if they were allowed.

I am sad to say, I think it did help. The place would have been packed with Eagles fans and if my language at the end of the first quarter was anything to go by any Washington fans who had ventured to FedEx will have been less than supportive.

Given everything that has gone on at the organisation over the summer, and the consistently awful form on the field over the last three decades, behind closed doors is the perfect environment in which to rebuild.

Watched the Browns game this morning....at least we got off the mark and have a win this season, but the defense looked very suspect (Cincy 6 / 6 on 4th downs?!?) Our run D is doing well, but at the second level we are struggling with injuries to key players already.
The offense looked good though, albeit against an equally poor Bungles D, and Chubb & Hunt are probably the best RB duo we've had since Byner & Mack in the late 80's.

A good win, but we will have to improve a lot if we are going to get many more this season.

I'm not paying a large amount of attention to RedZone.

But every time I do look and see the Chargers 'charge' on the field, I keep thinking it's the TV guys drawing on the screen.

So I'm following that 'play' on to then notice the ball is on t'other side of the pitch.

My Broncos put up a decent fight to stay in the game against the Steelers with out backup QB coming into the game.

Seem to be a lot of significant injuries today.
