The Packers very nearly got hosed by the refs, again.
Luckily the defense held on for the series that shouldn't have been, but it was blooming close.

I also caught the end of the 'skins.
Lovely little 50-60 odd yard drive, with a buck 40 on the clock!, by Bob3 to set up the winning FG.
Tony Kornheiser would have been happy with that, had it not been for the golf.

How did we miss a week?

Anyway, as there's wasn't anything in the early games that really took my fancy, I thought I'd get Redzone a go.

I don't think it's for me, it's pretty hectic and I just can't get a feel for any of the games.

I think I'll either watch the Jets or the Cowboys implode.

Just back from a messy weekend in Dallas, what an incredible performance from the boys. Atmosphere on the Friday night was like nothing I've ever experienced before, absolute mayhem!

BOOMER!

Let's be honest, UTEP would give you a harder game than Texas these days.

He's going to get killed if Kyle Shanahan keeps calling those running or Triple Option plays
That was the big thing.

Since week 2, on the radio David Aldridge's catchphrase has been:-

'In week 5 B3 is going to get killed, and that's the end of the franchise'.

So there has been a lot of interest in that.
I've only really watched the Skins and Packers this season, and it has been noticeable that they have changed Bob's plays.
Yesterday he wasn't hung out to dry from the off.

The triples are being used now when the defense has been lulled a little, once or twice on a drive, instead of the death defying 90% of plays.

I'd like to point out I made my bloody obvious prediction before Bob's 70 odd yard rushing TD win.

Eagles really are tough to watch this season.

Where I have to give credit to Vick, is that despite all the pressure, and hits, when he does take off and run, he is STILL diving head first for the yards. Utter madness on his part, but you do have to admire it.

First loss for the Texans against a very good Packers team.

Looking good for both the Texans and Ravens as they'll be 2 games clear of the AFC pack should the Broncos win tonight.

The Texans v Ravens game at Reliant next week should sort out the AFC favourites for home field advantage. The Texans face some tough games coming up in the next 3 fixtures with the Ravens and Bills at home before travelling to the Bears. 2 wins from these 3 would be a great return.

My predictions for the remaining Texans fixtures:

vs. Ravens (5-1) Win
vs. Bills (3-3) Win
at Bears (4-1) Lose
vs. Jaguars (1-4) Win
at Lions (2-3) Win
at Titans (2-4) Win
at Patriots (3-3) Lose
vs. Colts (2-3) Win
vs. Vikings (4-2) Win
at Colts (2-3) Win

13-3 would be great, but even 12-4 should be enough to guarantee a top 2 finish.

There's some problem with the NFL website, it says Cleveland won ...

They were still #15. Just need a K-State loss next week away at WVU in the Big 12.

Those polls are bollocks most of the time, they rank teams on the win loss column instead of how good they actually are. Do you really think Oregon State could beat South Carolina? They're higher in the rankings though cause the Gamecocks lost a tight one to LSU where the Beavers are getting love for smashing the usueless BYU.

Redzone was awesome last night, missed FG from the Cardinals RG£ rushing touchdown and then Seahwaks with a 46 yarder to Rice to win the game, all at the same time!

This is from NFL.com. The story started to break late afternoon on Sunday, but it looks like we are close to an official announcement of a 2nd game for 2013. Does anyone know what AFC division the Vikings have next season? Am I right in think the International games have always / usually been inter-conference?

CHICAGO -- The NFL will announce Tuesday a second London game during the 2013 season, hosted by the Minnesota Vikings, a source familiar with the league's plans said.

The opponent has not yet been determined.

There already is a London game scheduled in 2013 between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the San Francisco 49ers, as the league continues to test the viability of the London market.

The game between the Jags and 49ers, announced by the NFL last week, will take place at London's historic Wembley Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013. The contest is the Jaguars' first in the United Kingdom, as the team previously had committed to play one regular-season home game in the United Kingdom in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. All of those games will be played at Wembley.

Sorry, that was just lazy of me .... I've looked it up. The Vikings "home" games next season (excl. divisional games, which we WON'T get) are:
Eagles
Redskins
Browns
Steelers
and whichever NFC South team finishes in the same position as the Vikings do in the North. Can't be this game, as the opponent won't have a chance to agree until the end of the regular season.

Howdy. This is the first time I've ventured onto an NFL thread as I, as of this season, am a new FALCONS fan.

Basically my gf's cousin now lives in Atlanta and I've been bombarded with Falcons and Georgia Bulldogs merchandise/clothes so I thought it would only be polite to follow them now.

It seems I've brought good luck to the Falcons! Can someone tell me me whether they are always this good or if something dramatic has changed to allow them to be 6 without loss?

I understand the RULES and enjoy watching it but have NO previous knowledge of players/history of the game. Really trying to get a better knowledge.

Falcons : Not usually THIS good, as I believe it's the first time ever (or at least in a very long time) they have opened up 6-0, but, and it is a significant but, they have regularly looked good getting through the season only to run out of steam in the play-offs. While the Saints with Drew Brees have been the more succesful team in the play-offs, the Falcons seem to have often won the division with a 13-3 record (or similar) and then just blown up in post-season.

Last season, I think they were a wild card team, and got completely done by the Giants, which despite the Giants going on to win the SB, it was a surprise at teh time, as the Giants struggled to make post-season.

I think it was the season before that they stormed the season, and then got torn apart by the Packers. Again, they went on to win teh SB, so maybe the Falcons just get unlucky in who they come up against in post-season.

This is all in the Matt Ryan era of course, I'm not sure anyone talks about the Michael Vick days anymore. Their history books probably jump straight back to Jerry Glanvile leaving tickets on the gate for Elvis, and Prime Time dashing from the baseball field to set pulses racing at CB.
