Other news today - Ben White has been nominated for the PFA Championship Fans Player of the Month award for August. https://www.leedsunited.com/news/te...ord-up-for-pfa-fans-player-of-the-month-award You would expect the Leeds fans to swamp the poll given how HUGE a club they are, but Pat Bamford is also nominated, which may split the vote. Time for us to give Ben a boost?

Former Albion U23 Matthias Normann says that he doesn't regret leaving Sussex for Rostov in Russia, and hard to blame him given that he has just been called up to the senior Norway squad. http://sportwitness.co.uk/i-dont-regret-player-says-brighton-exit-good-choice/

Sanders off to Wimbledon
Cox to Fortuna Siittard

Well, I jumped the gun there then didn't I.

Glad to see Cox and Sanders get their moves. Another 4 months in PL2 wouldnt help either of them much.

Good. Those were two I thought were really ready for a loan, and should benefit from it.

Not sure that's such good news - looked very accomplished, and well able to potentially make the grade.

I wonder if the club are willing to let Cox go as we have Cochrane also looking very accomplished at LB, and 2 years younger.

It's the everything must go sale.

Sanders and Cox now. Our u23 side is going to be quite a lot under the age of 23.

With Sanders going to Wimbledon, he could be playing us tomorrow. Yes, yes there's usually some sort of clause inserted, but would there necessarily be in this instance? Probably it's more important for us that Sanders is gaining first team experience than it is for us to make progress in this risible competition.

There is a clause. Sanders cannot play tomorrow.

Club website says he's ineligible tomorrow.

Really sad to hear George Cox is out, one of my favourite players. Talented, exciting to watch and one I would love to have seen play for our first team.

I hope this is a great move for him.

Actually, perhaps counterintuitively I find this quite encouraging.

You tend to feel that if a player is still in the U23 group by the age of 22 or 23 they will never make the grade at senior level.

Of the old guard, only Archie and Jordan Davies are still here, meaning there is more space for hungry younger players to establish themselves (e.g. Richards, Roberts, Cochrane, Longman...). And not to mention more opportunities to promote any promising U18s (who have won their last 9 competitive matches in a row).

Positive and well informed... you know where you are, right?
