No that would be breaking the law, LIdl own brand or Birds Eye..

Yep - Coogan doing the equivalent of the thousands of Tory supporters using loopholes to avoid paying tax. Horrible behaviour from all parts of the political spectrum. Nothing illegal in most cases but highly unethical.

Well, I nicked the Birds Eye ones first, then I noticed the own brand ones were cheaper, so I put the Birds Eye ones back and nicked the Lidl ones instead.

Note the deliberate Trump like language, linking an opposing political position (left wing/socialist) with negative personal traits (lazy/workshy).

I presume that 4.7k of the 4.8k replies are pointing out to Henry, that working from home where at all possible, is his government’s instruction?

I think this best sums up my thoughts on the matter.

The Sun running this story has nothing to do with the legal action Steve Coogan has against them , of course.

Poor from Coogan

But, I blame a poorly thought out system to keep people in work, its open to abuse and results on poor productivity.

Sunak it seems can only walk on water, I'm afraid our system is so far away from best global practice

Sadly, the furlough system was always going to be abused. It had to be brought into existence in literally days to prevent employers rushing to make many millions redundant.

It met universal approval on the day it was announced eg Ian Blackford and Len McCluskey on Newsnight, and appears still rated highly now. So much so, the whinging has started already that employers will have to contribute a bit more from August in many sectors.

The biggest fraud, probably going on already, but it will mushroom, is employers claiming furlough when staff have returned to work.

According to the BBC this morning, fraudsters have also successfully targeted Universal Credit during this crisis, at a huge cost, taking advantage of the speedy response to get cash to the genuinely needy.

Human nature, there’ll always be a significant part of society who are criminally dishonest.

Expect prosecutions in the years to follow.

C**t is definitely harsh but I need somewhere to vent at all those on furlough who are able to spend the day down the beach earning a minimum of 80% of their wages for the pleasure.

Lucky sods.

Although lucky is probably not quite right either.

Basically I’m jealous.

(Not a dig at anyone who finds them self in the above situation before I get jumped on).

He’s a ****

Crawley is falling to bits and he posted about some deal in Sunderland and bragged about Brexit.

I know companies that have made people redundant and put them on gardening leave/furlough till sept so they don’t have to pay up the notice period

Hope they can identify him - should be relatively easy considering the dick put it up on YT

May struggle if no fixed ANPR in the area. That said not too many motors can do this speed, that will narrow it down

Australia have had a scheme called "Job Keeper".

Employers have to demonstrate their business has been effected in reduction in turnover, they then can apply for a grant to contribute to subsidise employee wages.

However, employees are still working if their employer has work they could do

The UK scheme pays people to sit at home at essentially be unproductive. In a lot of business there always work to be done even when business is down
