Other than Vicente probably the only player i'd have in our squad. Tidy little finisher and pops up in decent positions. I honestly don't know why some people can't see that.

You can't just blame him you twat. Vicente missed a sitter in the first half and we had LOADS more chances to score.

The same guy who gained us a point with a pressure penalty at Selhurst Park... swings and roundabouts... but go on, blame Barnes for us being 7th in the Championship in our first season after promotion, it is all his fault that we will finish in our highest position for 21 years... get bloody rid of him, without his goals we wouldn't even be in the championship, its his fault we are there too...

It pisses me off how much stick and abuse Barnes gets on here and at the ground. He is playing in a position that people don't seem to comprehend (he is not a centre forward) and he gives his all every time. Despite this, he is still top scorer for us this season (not forgetting the 20 from the last).
He's back defending, he's supporting Vicente and Navs in the middle, he's creating and scoring chances up top.
I don't want to sound mean, but CMS receives way less stick despite being in shit form, not being able to touch the ball, pass it, shoot or ultimately score - All of which Ashley can and has been doing all season. The contrast in comments when ash and CMS do the same thing wrong is amazing:
"unlucky Craig" "for f*** sake Barnes"
For me, he's been our player of the season and I don't want him driven out by the "fans" constantly on his back.

Thought Barnesy had another good game tonight, unlucky with the pen and one of our best, most versatile players this season.
I agree. How did Vicente hit the bar from so close? Poor penalty, but as soon as he replaced the ball I was worried. Barnes played well other than the pen.
