Are there any Etonians left in parliament, or Harrowians for that matter and is this finally the end of the Bullingdon Club era?

Who in the Tory party will be able to carry the natural ruling party aura now?

Yes, I believe it may be

Could the UK soon have the most working-class cabinet of all time?

More than three-quarters of the shadow cabinet attended state schools – in stark contrast to Sunak’s government.

with Lib Dems winning 70+ seats, Labour won't need conservatives in any way. Tories will have absolutely no power and no say in anything

Perhaps I didn't word that particularly well - it's being reported, but I don't feel it acknowledges the level of performance. I don't remember seeing much suggestion that the Greens would get any more than 2 MPs, it's a phenomenal result for them
The Greens have got 4 seats on 6.8% whereas Reform the same on 14.3%. The Lib Dems have 71 on 12.3%. That just goes to show that the ground war is very, very effective at elections which the Greens and Lib Dems excel at. They've also been very strategic at drawing up their target seats. Despite Garbage and Lice bleating on about them not having any money  all they do (and are indulged) is the air war. They've got no strategy, it's all been put on a plate for them. They've got no ground war because they're all too idle, lazy to get out and do the work.

was that more than that other moron Nadine Dorries?

How the hell do you go from Prime Minister with a constituency majority of 26,000 to losing your seat in just 2 years?
It’s an extraordinary talent!
I most wanted Rees-Mogg to disappear, butI think this beats it!

Truss graciously blaming her defeat on 'the inheritance' the Tories received in 2010.
Labour crashed the economy.
They left a note saying there was no money left.
They sold the gold.
For someone who is supposed to be very clever, she is amazingly dim and deluded sometimes.

  • 2019: 202 seats, 32.1% vote share
  • 2017: 262 seats, 40.0% vote share
  • 2015: 232 seats, 30.4% vote share
  • 2010: 258 seats, 29.0% vote share

It looks as though the Conservatives and Labour Party between them will win less than 60% of all votes cast.

That would be the lowest proportion in any election since 1923, when Labour became the primary opposition.

Didn't bother to stay up as this was clearly always going to be a massive win for labour, well let's hope Keir gets off to a flyer and uses an umbrella in his speech!
We should have a clear ten years of no lies and plenty of action, exciting times.
