Of all the crimes that spring to mind, why is this one the most convincing case for the death penalty? Why is it more convincing than, say, the recent Tia Sharp case, or Baby P, or Peter sutcliffe or ian brady or Steve Wright?

It was my initial reaction to reading the story.

Just so vile, as are the others.

There of course are other heinous crimes.

Read that earlier, literally disgusting and I serious don't get what goes through some peoples minds. They should shipped out to a Argentinian/Mexican prison and left to rot.

So they get them and hang them and in 10 years they realise it was wrong men, still want to kick away the stool?

I am assuming the poor victim has ID'd them from pictures, also CCTV of them walking him.

If there convicted I would happily kick the stool, no question.

You what? Are you suggesting such perverts deserve to live?

And you're advocating a worse crime ? Give me a break. Take away all their rights and iliberty by all means, but if you took their life you're worse than them, they didn't kill any one.

They raped a 14 year old f***ing boy.

As soon as you do that, you lose all rights to be treated as a human.

Would you feel the same if it was your 14 year old boy?

This old chestnut, if we accept undeniable guilt, would you then support it, probably not, so what is the point of this comment.

Why not offer a greater insight to your reluctance to put down vermin like these predatory paedophiles.

I think the death penalty is wrong whatever the crime. The state should not lower itself to the level of the lowest in our society. We as a whole should be better than that, however emotive the crime. The punishment should be life in prison with parole dependent on the circumstances of the crime. I personally wouldnt want to live in a society that had the death penalty as law.
