I would never count best of/greatest hits/the singles or live albums in this type of list as they are not albums in the full sense but complied from other albums

I'm kind of with you in theory except that I would have to include 'Walk on The Wild Side; The Best of Lou Reed' in a personal list, as it just happened to be my introduction to him & The Velvets, way back when, & which formed my entire knowledge of their music for a number of my teenage years. It would have been of little consequence to me at the time that it happened to be a compilation.

The record wouldn't have cost me much, is probably not worth anything now &, I think, was probably a contractual obligation to boot, but it is actually a well rounded & balanced album of fantastic music - easing in with Satellite of Love, then rising to the noisier Velvets stuff before finishing on Coney Island Baby. It's a record that I would still happily listen to from start to finish, as I often did on repeat as an angsty teenager!

Not a massive Radiohead fan but The Bends for me is possibly the only album I’ve ever listened to without a dud on it. I love Blur but my god they have some fillers on their albums.

I'd have agreed about Blur until Think Tank came out, that was definitely an album with no or little filler and probably their best album for me.

The Bends is great but my favourite Radiohead album is In Rainbows (definitely no filler) closely followed by the Bends, OK Computer and Kid A.

Terrible cliché but you can't really avoid The Dark Side of the Moon. Starts with Birth, ends with Death with an almost seamless transition between the songs.

Personally I don't like Money but Us and Them is sublime...

No Other is the best album that I've heard that doesn't feature Jackson Browne.
