Agree with Money being the weak link for DSOTM, not great gig though, builds up beautifully from the Piano intro to the enthusiastic warbling.

Complete Floyd's for me are Animals andThe Wall.

Roger Waters - Pros and Cons.

Not a duff track to be heard.

London Calling - The Clash A brilliantly sequenced album, not one duff track.

Soul Mining - The The, every track works.

Whats Going On - Marvin Gaye You wouldn't take one song out of that album, each one moves into the next.

Kind of Blue - Miles Davis The winner - A perfect album.

Please be to hear the love for Pulp’s Different Class probably the second best Brit Pop era album behind Definiteky Maybe.

I’d also say Beach House’s album teen dream from 2010 was consistently brilliant from the opening track to the last.

I'd agree about Revolver if it wasn't for Yellow Submarine.

In the days of cassettes I had a C-45 and made a single album out of the Beatles' White Album. If they'd done the same it would have been their best.

I think a lot of people have misinterpreted this thread. It's not just about favourite albums. It's about albums without a single duff track. Quite rare in my experience. I mean, for everyone who's said Revolver - what about Yellow Submarine? It's just awful.

Correct.

In fact is there a good Beatles track where Ringo takes the lead vocals.
I also doubt that where anyone has posted everything by >< there isn't a lesser track or two when compared to the best album by that group.
Yes we have to accept that everyone hears things differently but there should be more quality control.

I approached my choice on the basis that when I got the album did I continually play it, do I still play it today and there are no tracks that I skipped from time to time.
Also I have excluded any greatest hits type album or live album.

Some examples where I haven't included some albums
Tubular Bells - very often only play side one
Sgt Pepper - Within Without you just dont like this Harrison song
Animals/The Wall/all post Roger Waters Pink Floyd just don't play as often as The Dark Side of the Moon/Wish You Were Here

But some interesting choices, which get the following reactions
Bugg** I forgot about that one
No way its not their best album
But what about track >< which should exclude that album
Never heard that album can't comment
Yes I know its a classic album but just not my cup of tea

But with any music thread its all about opinions and taste and the thread always goes all over the place.

Now for a deluge of thumb downs
