I think his best attribute is his vision and speed of thought.

There's been some great moments because he spotted a pass and played it quickly. Off the top of my head from last season - quick pass for Maupay's goal against Arsenal, he played Gross through against Norwich when we were penned in, he did something similar against City this week, the give and go today for our goal was brilliant.

Agreed on vision. He's got the technique too.

Excellent week for him. I feel that Mac is best at the head of the midfield, sitting just behind the strikers, in central space. His passing can be utterly deadly and his balance is also great.

No reason why we can't start with MacAllister and do a straight swap with Adam around the 70th minute. As neither can play a full 90 usually, it keeps both players fresh and leaves us with an experienced pro to help us control the last twenty minutes, whatever situation we're in.

Young lad who came to the country and spent a month (or so) here before lockdown, has been away from his family for a year and with injuries and illness. None of that can have been easy and I'm really happy that he is showing his talent, long may it continue and pretty sure he will only get better.

I'm sure it didn't escape Ally Mac's notice that we have just played teams managed by Guardiola and Bielsa, two of the leading coaches in the Spanish-speaking world, and people he would no doubt want to impress. I'm hoping he will want to shine in front of Scott Parker just as much.

Of course he has also been injured and ill, and is now fully fit, which the more likely explanation for his brilliant form at City and Leeds. Just imagine him, a fit Lallana and a fully-motivated Trossard in front of Bissouma and either Moder, Caicedo or, on today's display, Ben White.

When he made his debut last year away to Wolves, in what was only a 10 minute cameo, you could see he had class. Glad to see he's getting a run in the team now.

Was only saying that to my Mrs during the game. A kind of personnel investment policy for the future if he reaches higher levels and fancies a move to one of their teams in the distant future - probably in Spain.

His part in the goal is amazing, his movement off the ball is so good. I think it is Harrison who has no idea where Mac has gone, who’s then creating the space to get the ball back.

I think the last couple of games he has started to play himself into form.

Think he needs a goal as still looks a little short on confidence.... but he is getting there.

I know it's a bit reactionary after two good games, but i'd like to build our forward line around him. For me, he has the vision and guile that we mostly lack. We should regard him as our number 8/10, in the same way we regard Biss our 6 and Dunk our 4 (or vice versa depending on how old school you are). No matter what formation we play we're always going to have a 4, 6, and 8/10. There is real value in giving players responsibility and putting faith in them and I think he has the talent to deserve that. He also has a great mentor in Lallana.

I don't think it's reactionary at all, I agree, Mac should be one of the first names on the team sheet (and that's not even based off the Leeds game), he just needs a run of games and to get used to the league. The quality is there and he'll get even better as he gets more comfortable in the team and league (just like Bissouma has). There's actually a good spine in the team (if you forget about a no9!).
