I did look at the venue site but you have to pay a membership fee to join apparently. Anyway, got the tickets in the end. Can't wait for the gig now, saw them at Hyde Park last year and thought they were fantastic.

Excellent work, should be an an absolute cracker of a gig. I have very fond memories of them the first time round. The first two shows with Patton at the marquee are right up with some of the best I've seen.

Excellent ticket day yesterday. Coach and ticket for Glastonbury booked and managed to secure three more tickets for Faith No More at the Roundhouse as well. Feeling very chuffed and excited!

I'm begining to get excited for Glastonbury - that lineup announcment was pretty hot. I was saying to a mate the other day that I have to see George Clinton before he dies and hey presto I get Funkadelic, Parliamnent and Family Stone on the same stage!

I'm just going to have to to stay upright long enough to see them.

Believe it or not I was GUTTED when Chuck left, saw all their London shows. Second album still a classic. However those Patton shows were something else, marquee, Astoria and the carnage that was Brixton, wow, just wow. Hyde Park showed they have still got it.

I am beyond excited for Glastonbury. Not a lot of must sees so far but that is fine by me, leaves plenty of exploring time but you are right that George Clinton supergroup is definitely on the must see list, very much looking forward to that presumably at West Holts.

I think it's going to clash with Kanye, which seems a little silly. Looks like I'll be spending a fair amount of time walking from West Holts to Park Stage and back!

Not that bothered about Kanye. I do not think the pyramid stage is suited to that style of music. However I am hoping he'll grab a large crowd to free up the rest of the festival. Thinking of camping near the Park again this year, one of my favourite areas on site.

Hyde Park was the first time I'd seen them live. Liked some of their stuff previously but was mainly there to see Soundgarden. After their cracking Hyde Park set I've listened to a lot of their back catalogue and absolutely love it. Looking forward to the London gig immensely

You will not be disappointed. They are one of the best live bands I've ever seen, and the Roundhouse is a brilliant venue. The new stuff seems to stand up just as well as the old. A real shame the Album of the Year was not a bigger hit, I think i was the only person to buy it.

It is a great album- Ashes to Ashes is one of my favourite FNM songs. Glad I managed to get standing tickets for the Roundhouse.

My point was more that Funkadelic are probably the most sampled group in the history of hiphop, I'd suggest it would be shameful planning to clash them with the world's premier hip hop artist.

They'll probably have RTJ on Park Stage at the same time n'all.

Good point, well made. Could be quite the runaround on saturday night, but then that is always part of the fun. If you are missing out on one thing you are seeing something else that you really like. That's why Glastonbury is still the daddy of festivals.

Rather fed up to be missing MDC in town on 7 Aug. Those were the days...

They absolutely ruled when they played with the Dead Kennedys and Test Tube Babies all those years at the Poly - ferocious, furious and tight as fu*k. I went to see them a year or two later at The Richmond with Crucifix, but they weren't allowed through Dutch customs at Schiphol earlier in the day.

Finally got to see them again 7 or 8 years ago in Croydon playing to about 15 punters. Didn't stop from being utterly effing spellbinding though.
