Edge Of The Sea has been sadly postponed until next August. Such a shame- one of the best live music weekends of the year.
Just got home from playing kozfest down in Woolacombe last night, supporting Gong, first gig for 18 months, what a pleasure!
Also must mention a band called Dead otter, not just a great name!
Knackered, but so good to get back on the road and out gigging again.

Got tickets for Lovely Eggs+AK/DK at C2 next week but Mrs B (and me to an extent) are nervous about being jammed up against hundreds of others. Anyone been to C2 yet and give us a feel as to how it was? Normally still wear masks in shops and stuff but trying to breathe in a mask at a hot sweaty gig holds no appeal.
Both my parents are late 80s and I see them very regularly so don't want to take increased risks.

My main interest in life resumes on Friday with an open-air “picnic gig” by Christian Löffler. Instead of seats me, die Frau und zwei Freunden get a blanket to park our arses on. Really really looking forward to this.

It is a great venue either downstairs or around the balcony. Two great albums I am sure they will do them justice without Phil.

Just off to see Squid tonight and Pom Poko next week. The excitement of watching live music again is immense.

I went to Squid on the Tuesday (I had to give my ticket to Crack Cloud to a friend, who said they were superb) it was a brilliant gig and the crowd was fantastic.
I went to the Idles last night and they and the crowd took it up yet another notch, thought they were both fantastic. I would love to go to Pom Poko but I am totally skint.

We went to End of the Road 12 days ago, which was a delight -- our first reacquaintance with live music for 18 months -- so much of a delight that we've bought tickets for next year.
The line-up this year didn't feature the profile of performer that they normally attract, which is understandable in the circumstances, but there was some excellent acts. Special mention to:
-- Jonny Greenwood: a nine piece string performance, playing his 'classical'/soundtrack music and the occasional selected classical work (Schoenberg, Messiaen) in the beautiful Garden Stage
-- Porridge Radio: Brighton's quirky pop quartet wowed the Big Tent, and their ability to improve the bigger the stage they're on suggests big things
-- Richard Dawson: closed the festival on the Garden Stage, just him and a drummer, wonderful to spend time in his company

Saw Squid last week and thought they were superb, saw Tina as well at Prince Albert on Saturday after Brentford another fantastic gig from a Speedy Wunderground artist. Funnily enough I am also seeing Pom Poko on Thursday and I'd highly recommend the support Legss as well, especially if you liked Squid.

There were two gigs to be fair! I went on the Tuesday, had seen them at two festivals previously (Wide Awake and a Green Man Secret Set) and they were much better in an intimate venue, not that they were bad otherwise but it turned it up a notch inside Concorde.

Squid were also at EotR, very good too. It's an illustration of how the festivals that did occur this year largely restricted their bills to UK acts.
