Ok- With Film 2016 and Album 2016 threads up and running I thought I would continue this. Anyone up to much in January? My February is fairly busy with Massive Attack, Ezra Furman and Girl Band but nothing for now.

First show of the year for me tonight and it's a freebie - http://www.thegreendoorstore.co.uk/events/8-jan-16-gds-5th-birthday-the-green-door-store/

I'm going to leave this here as the website I do previews for went to sleep over Xmas and it's not up yet!

"Was it really five years ago we were watching Cold Pumas tear up a packed Green Door Store opening party? Starting life just after the galling closure of the Free Butt, it filled that loved venue’s niche with ease. It’s hosted soon to be famous touring acts, given a leg up to numerous Brighton band’s and stuck to its awesome policy of never charging punters for club nights. Their birthday parties are legendary having hosted Slum of Legs and Girl Band in recent years. This year’s line up features noisy Nottingham types Kagoule and highly recommended Maccabees meet Eagulls local oiks Abattoir Blues."

Since I wrote that Brain Queen (who are a big local tip of mine this year) have been added to open. As always this is a busy night, get down early to guarantee entry.

Oh, and another Kraftwerk catalogue show will be ticked off in August. That will be 5, 3 more to go.

There's some excellent news about the Brentford game being moved to the Friday....

It means you can make all of Brighton Noise's Day Three spectacular featuring The Fiction Aisle (Tom, Electric Soft Parade's new band), Clowwns, Lutine, Inwards and The Soft Walls amongst some other top gear.

Indeed. Worth it alone for The Fiction Aisle who I saw supporting The Wedding Present.
