Well, that's it as far as i'm concerned. Another customer gone.

Tonight? Well, i paid good money to sit in the freezing cold watching absolute shit. Again.

It's all very well saying a draw against Tranmere isn't a bad result.
But watching us playing for a draw at home is not on.
It's NOT entertaining watching a team who seemingly don't care.
It's NOT entertaining watching a dugout who seemingly haven't got a f***ing clue.

I lost it at Withdean tonight. That's never happened before. Wilkins and subs. Again. Jesus H Christ.

Hart - now, i like Hart, but there is NO WAY that the man is a striker. Jesus wept, he makes Revell look like a chicken WITH a head. No positional sense, no strikers instinct. A joke substitution - the only way it could have been justified would be by putting the impressive Bowditch up front and having him on the wing. There is no doubt Hart can cross a ball and fly into a slide tackle, but can he do much else? I think not.

Mayo - what a f***ing shambles. I've never really understood the 'hate Mayo' thing on here, but what the HELL is the point of bringing on a left back for your centre half 2 minutes from time. At home. What a PATHETIC, negative change. We're at home - GO FOR IT, don't make pointless, woeful subs like that. I have NEVER been so LIVID at a substitution in all my life. NON-LEAGUE.

Robinson - Yep, genius Wilkins. Leaving the man who actually stuck the ball in the net at the weekend OUT of the team. Inspired decision. Two defensive midfielders in the centre of the park, but do we make an ATTACKING change in the middle? Behave.

The result tonight? Not the end of the world, but final confirmation that we're NOT going to challenge for the play-offs. The performance tonight? Boring, dull, and proof that, despite the board/managers insistance, we are NOT even trying to challenge for the play-offs. Absolute crap.

I'm not paying to watch again - the games are meaningless, and i'm going to join the thousands staying away. I won't be missing much. Well, not unless Wilkins packs it in. No effort, no passion, no commitment. I can't be bothered with it, and i'm not the only one. This is why nobody wants to watch us anymore. We're going BACKWARDS with the current management.

Over-reaction? Probably. But one that's been on the cards for a while though. I'll be at the Gillingham game, and the Forest game that i've paid for. Any more than that though...well, if Wilkins doesn't call it a day (which he won't, sadly), it'll take some UNBELIEVABLE signings to make going to Withdean value for money again.

It was a STEAMING PILE OF DOG TURD and I am incrdulous Wilkins was pleased with it and a few fans applauded at the end. Have our expectations really got so low.

The Mayo substitution, was to stop Greenacre from running at our centre backs. because if Butters stayed on, he would of been outpaced. So it wasn't a bad substitution decision by Wilkins. If we can stop playing route one, and get the ball on the deck and play passing football, we look a decent side. But at the moment we look a League Two mid-table side.

i didnt think it was THAT bad - we played some decent stuff at times, but just seemed to lack that final ball, and annoyingly there were times when we built momentum only to go backwards

the hart susbtitution was a joke, especially as tranmere looked there for the taking when bowditch ran at them, and in particular forsters surging run in the first half. robinson might have offered something out there tonight

the mayo sub was slightly understandable - butters was there for the taking with two pacey guys up there, and another last minute defeat would have been a disaster

it looks as though we are heading for mid table though - and you are right in that many people arent going to pay that much to go to withdean to watch games that have no meaning and are as dull as that

Great post. I'm just mainly sick of the route one football. It really isn't difficult to keep the ball on the grass....or is it?

Well said, these threads are pathetic.

They are usually started by people who weren't even there!

Despite this thread poster saying he had just got back from the game? :thud:

It seems to be in our case. Just what does Wilkins get the team to practice on the training ground?

Spot on Basil. We were looking tired at the back and Tranmere had some fresh legs on to cause us problems.

It looks as though Tranmere had done their homework and closed down our backs quickly, leaving them with no option, but to boot it up field. We need to work harder for each other and give us more options. Thomson is good at coming short, but it seems quite difficult to persuade Whing, Butter and Elphick to play it on the deck. Maybe it is a confidence thing? When they are a little sharper on the ball and we pass it around, we do look like a fairly good side.

Forgot to add that I thought the Hart substitution was udnerstandble. Forster was getting in behind the defence and all we needed was the right flick on. Maybe in hidsight, we should have pushed Bowditch up and brought on Robinson, but I think it was a close call.

Cold tonight? You absolute wimp! :p

Its odd , there are probably 500 or so fans who would watch Albion in the Brighton league playing at Preston Park and still remain " loyal " as they will accept any old shite thrown at them. Infact as the fan base dwindles ever more they feel more important as they become one of a smaller and smaller band who can wear their " loyal fan " badge with pride.

As a business our stock is falling, the price is plummeting and although not Bankrupt stock yet its permanently showing the " sale on " sign in the shop window.

In any other business the manager would be culpable for the company going down the toilet, losings its client bank but Wilkins is exempt for some bizarre reason.
