On a related note I think the problem in certain industries is actually class rather than/or in combination with the colour of your skin.
It's relatively easy these days to correct a problem where your workforce is out of step with ethnicity in the country.
Far more difficult to admit that the problem is actually which school you went to or what your parents did or knew.
Or to put it brutally our workforce is just a bit too posh.
I do understand (and support) schemes like the Rooney Rule to encourage (and not positively discriminate) people to apply.
But I do worry they are being used in certain places to sweep a quite different problem under the carpet.
