Unfortunately you are probably right. Clearly this is being pushed out now to get the headlines moving away from Partygate and ticks a lot of boxes for his supporters

Is this the plan to transport human beings to camps for processing?

Imagine the level of historical, intellectual and emotional ignorance you'd need to possess, to either come up with that idea, or to support it.

Desperate attempt to drag back hardcore right wingers. And it’ll probably work. There’s not much one can say about the scheme that it doesn’t say for itself. Despicable.

I'm sure the barometer will rise when the announcement about Rwanda is made today
and he'll be back in the good books for a lot of people ???

He’ll only be back in the good books of the deeply simple racists. We had nearly 29k asylum seekers last year, the Rwanda plan would accommodate 500 per year at most at an enormous cost (perhaps £240k per person) when we can least afford it.

Gaslighting the intellectually challenged? I’m sure you’ll agree. [emoji106]

Of course it's not horse-shit - geez!

It's a first hand eye-witness account from someone who was there at the time. And yes, in the 70s there was 70s comedy on the TV, and we all watched it. I expect in 50 years time (if you're still around) sime young tosser will delight in telling you what a **** you are for having watched some of the offensive (in the mindset of said young tosser in fifty years time) TV that went out in the 2010s and 2020s - and they'll robably have a go at telling you that what you have seen and done in 2022 couldn't have happened, because it isn't acceptable to them.

Now, seriously, have you never see anybody dressed up as a vampire? - you must have lived a very sheltered life if you haven't! Vampires are not nice things you know - they kill people, or turn them into vampires like themselves. All those kids dressing up as vampires ...... must be f*****g sick, eh.

Far from sheltered.

I agree re the future, and past/present being a shifting tide . . .I look back at the 90's with mixed feelings, lad culture wasn't great. Fun though!! My lad thinks I'm a Neanderthal already.

Vampires are fictional, SS officer sadly not. I can't really see an excuse for ever having donned that particular uniform, FD or not.

The final destination is either to let the single men loose on the streets of Rwanda (and the Rwandans may have something to say about that) or . . . . . . .

Concentration camps.

Concentration camps.

"And let me say, with our announcement, made loud and clear, they know what they are letting themselves in for, so there can be no complaints."

First caller on R5 "Absolutely brilliant idea".

What has happened to this country? A final solution for illegal immigrants.....

If it only applies to single men I can envisage a lot of males in same sex relationships entering the country.

When I first heard this proposal outlined on the radio this morning I initially thought they said people where going to be sent to Rhonnda. Which did seem especially disproportionate and cruel.

At around 50 x the cost of actually putting them in 4 star hotels. So much winning.

You need to have your Brexit hat on for the logic to work. i.e. inact populist tabloid-eaque policies despite being financially worse off

Lose/lose presented as win/win by Mr "I was never at a party"

Because Rwanda worked so well when they processed Israel's immigrants

It's simply another example of how great Johnson's desperation has become. 10s of millions spent on negligible numbers at greater expense than the current processes, all in an attempt to 'move on' from the complete clusterf*** that is engulfing him :wanker:
