The "JCL" attitude

I really don't mind the JCL's that will be at Falmer but what really fucks me off is when they talk about the Albion as if they know what they are talking about, that is what really pisses me off. They can come and support the Albion, all the merrier but what i f***ing despise is 'new' fans coming and trying to overcome and talk about the Albion as they've been going for many years. Oh and please if i see any 'fan' at Falmer wearing any other clubs shirt, eg. Man U, Arsenal, Liverpool then i will say something.

That is all.

Spot on again. Can't argue with this...unless you're a "JCL-wanabee" who needs to imagine everyone's against them because they've not been to the last game obvious;ly

Got singled out in 1 of my 1st threads for asking why WSL seats hadn't gone before the north stand Wich got my back up a bit, I only asked as I prefer watching matches from the side due to being stuck behind the goal at withdean (Wich seemed miles away from the action) but it's fine.... I'm enjoying NSC

Only 167 posts? JCL... :)

my 7 yr old son wants to come and watch the albion but since he was 6 and a half he supported manure so i kicked the little prick in the mouth and told him all about the jcl and also told him he would never be allowed in the hallowed stadium , do i get a pat on the back from the jcl massive?

If you mention this to the ticket office they should give you complimentary tickets for good parenting.

A JCL is, well, think we all know that. I JCL-wannabee is someone who spectacularly misses the point in defence of the JCL and ends up arguing with others for reasons best know to himself because they think they're being labelled a JCL when a JCL they're not really. Unless of course they want to be a JCL, hence the term JCL-Wannabee was created as an additional bespoke specialist type JCL.

Think you've found a nice little(well rather quite big) niche in the market there-with said bespoke specialist type JCL.get down the patent office.

Haha well I get to games when I can but explained in previous threads I can't get to many (illness in family) but certainly went to games before we were storming the league, I'm Brighton born & bred as are my wife & 5 children... Yes I was at the daggers game and Huddersfield game too although this proves nothing & I did purchase a ST... Again proves nothing.
Oh & wouldnt dream of putting my child in a manure shirt at a match or anywhere else for that matter lol.
Don't wanna be a jcl or a wannabee jcl lol but I suppose that's for each forum member to decide..... Phew

You aren't a JCL if you've been to the goldstone. Christ there's a lot of JCL wanabees on this thread...what's wrong with you people? It's like THAT scene from Sparticus, everyone wanting to be crucified. It's as if people are ashamed to be an Uber-fan. Like me obviously...(I'm not ashamed for the record, I was at Hereford don't you know)

You've nailed it. I think that definition of JCL-wannabe is great. I'm really quite surprised how many lapsed-but-returning supporters think they're thought of as JCLs. They are not, whether they like it or not. People are only JCLs if they've only been drawn to the Seagulls by the recent good times at the Albion.

Certainly not. That was ruled to be unconstitutional by the JCL Supreme Court of Justice.

I think we need to winkle out all the Johnny come lately's that have ever joined the the club. Come on who started following us after the promotion to Division 1, the Fa cup final, the play off final, back to back promotions. So come on JCL's confession time......

I started after the promotion to Division 1. Then tailed off late 80's early 90's and started go regularly a few years before losing the goldstone. In fact my most regular attendance at the Albion was during the seasons preceding losing the Goldstone. Ha hah i think the opposite of a glory hunter.....a misery hunter maybe?

i just always went to the occasional game at the withdean..... never went to the goldstone as i was young & my parents both had and still have no desire for football at all although i love every aspect of it.
moved very close to the withdean around 10 years ago and get to matches when my eldest son is well enough to leave with child minders as i dont feel comfortable leaving him too much due to his siezures
hopefully get to more games next season & maybe bring the little chap with me as long as there is adequate wheelchair access (im sure there is)

my winkling is done lol
