Not wishing to scare monger but is there a chance that some current STHs won't get a ticket for Falmer?

Every current STH is guaranteed a seat at the Amex.

If all STH bought 1+3 (not going to happen!) and you were last to purchase before general sale there would still be seats available. It's just that each day that goes past, less choice is available.

I think there are over 2000 people who have had a season ticket for 9 or more years. They are only getting through 160 people a day so it would take around three weeks to get through everyone in this group. As they decided to allocate the appointments by Withdean block number, rather than first come first served, some people ended up at the back of the queue simply by having the misfortune to be in the "wrong" block at Withdean. I guess you must fall into this category.

I know all that, we all do.

What I was saying is that among those 2000 they didn't take into consideration those who had gone the extra, extra mile by being a Gillingham ST holder (and people like my Dad who has had a ST for 37 years!) which is a shame. And with average +3's take-up around 6000 seats will have gone by the time we choose including all the best ones!

Ah ok. I got the impression from your post that you weren't aware of this. Judging by other posts I don't everyone does know this.

I take your point though. I think the clubs line was that they didn't want to penalise younger supporters. In my opinion the number of people exercising the option to buy extra seats will be far lower than you fear, but yes a lot of the best ones will have gone by the time you get to choose.

I do not want to sound like a bit of a whinger but I find it odd that the presentations have started as I have a had a season ticket for every year at Withdean and even had a 3 year one but yet my date at the Amex is not until 31-1-11!!!

I would like to think I may have been a bit earlier...Oh well...

There's a possibility of 640 seats sold per day but realistically it's unlikely that more than 500 will be. However, the best locations will be first to go...
- West lower zone E and D
- West upper front rows close to halfway
- North stand at the back (standing tolerated)
- East stand at the back close to halfway, below 1901s

By the end of next week (22nd Jan) there will be about 5000 seats sold, mainly in these areas. After that I can see the remaining long time STHs being quite upset at the choices available.

Does anyone know when the first tranche of existing season ticket holders (the people who have had a season ticket every year at Withdean) will have had their presentations? I'm in that category and don't get the chance until Friday 21 January.

My mate is in the same category Lord B (10 year STH at Withdean) and his prezi isn't until Tuesday the 25 Jan.

I'm in the same category and not going until 26th Jan - first date available to me and the 4 other 10 yr at Wihdean + Gillingham + Goldstone ST holders going with me. I don't think we'll quite have the same level of choice as the 'mates' of those going in the first 2 weeks. Pisses me off a bit TBH, but it's no different to how we were treated when we were given so called 'preference' when we moved to Withdean

My son and I went to the presentation this morning and purchased 1+3 tickets each, for the West Stand Lower Block D. Martin Perry said they had sold about 700 tickets yesterday. Everybody was very helpful and it was great to get a closer look at the Stadium from the viewing platform.
Super morning, breakfast at Dave's Diner, taxi to the flyover by the Swan and then a leisurely walk to the Stadium.

I can only afford an A zone seat. I'll take where ever but if there is no North Stand shit then i'll cry.

Also: These seasontickets are just for Priority 1 yeah? And VIP ones. The block order Priority 4 can't book a presentation yet can they?

wa-heyyyyyyyyyyy

Me and my brother have just purchased our plus 3 each for the West upper tier.

Hardly any seats sold in the north stand so far but quite a few of the first few rows level with half way in the west upper have gone.

They will have easily sold 1000 season tickets by the end of today, that amazing considering this is only the first 2 days.

But how else are you gonna do it, would you really expect the club to just allow you to book your 1 ticket and thats it?? The "mates" are mainly existing STHS anyway, most are not new fans. Im part of a group of 18-odd trying to sit together nxt week, most of which are 10 yr STHs and the majority of the rest are 7-8 yr STHs, only 2 or 3 couple are newer STHs or "mates" and if you are booked in the last couple of weeks of Jan or 1st week of February, I can still see there being plenty of seats left in the good areas to accomodate us.
