Honest Q - did anyone really like Durutti Column for the music rather than the cred' they got from being on Factory and having a cool name? I bought a lot of their stuff but can't even listen to it now...

There tapes came in cool Factory boxes, but I'm the same, can't listen to them now, loved them back then.

Loved them then, still listen to them now. Anyone who ever saw drummer Bruce Mitchell in the flesh would never describe him as 'cool'. Most dishevelled-looking musician in history this side of Mark E Smith.
