For me The Jam, Clash & Joy Div etc. will always be set in the 70s.
I'm sorry but I can't bring myself to think of the Jam as an 80's band. I think they should be disqualified - but declared to be the champions of all decades.
Look up a list of when The Jam released their singles, I agree that they brought out some good stuff in the 70s.
