If you go and read Build a Bonfire, there are a couple of lines in there about the fact he agreed to boycott the game, meaning he missed an Albion game for the first time in 20 odd years.

These days he only does away games.

As an expat from Luton and having lived in Sussex for 30 years I thought it would be good to take my 12 yr old son to his first game. After all the Brighton fans have a good reputation, esp for banter.
I'm no prude but last night some fans behaved appallingly with racist remarks and stupid (and extremely abusive aggresive chants) at the Luton keeper and asst referee. None of it made sense. My son summed it up by saying they clearly were not interested in the game. Shame . I doubt if he will follow the Seagulls now.

That game wasn't the norm though. Don't let your son give up on the Seagulls over what happened at Luton.

Race, i doubt it will be anywhere near as bad as Luton. But being a South Coast derby, it should be abit heated.
