...costs for a game that will probably be off.
Unthoughtful decision by the ref.

Cant blame the ref. First pitch inspection was to be sure there were no frozen spots and that snow was cleared. Now we seem to have heavy rain so that is a different threat.
Disagree entirely!
The forecast made it clear the pitch would not be frozen, there was never any doubt in that I don't think. The pitch will not be much different in just over an hours time, and except those who have bought advance tickets, you'd be stupid to risk the £60 odd return.
If the 1st inspection was to look at frost, you are saying they PLANNED a second one at the same time they planned the first. They didn't notify anyone of this, so it wouldn't have happened.
current risk is waterlogging as the ground is still frozen underneath and not draining properly - it's all down to how much rain there is between now and the end of the match - it could kick off and still be abandoned
seriously - the rain is not as heavy as was forecast so still some hope
Surely you'd have to be mad to pay £60 with a 50-50 chance!?
Well i hope its on for guys who made the effort, but i aslo hope for you it is not a shocking performance as last season at Wallsall.

Maybe my memory is playing tricks, but wasn't the match called off late last season because of a frozen pitch?
I remember turning round near Heathrow en-route when the news came through.
