[Albion] The guy serving pies - is he the problem?

Yes. Actually, no. It was the cheap bisto gravy and peas that destroyed my perfectly good Piglets pie. If the pie boy/girl had been doing their job properly and served me my usual soggy, bagged-up, but nonetheless undeniably super-tasty pie, then the stars wouldn't have been shifted out of alignment and caused this (mildly) disappointing football result. Who hires these people? Bloody Dan Ashworth.

Typical of our fecking Entitled pie base

What sort of pies do they make in östersund? I'm guessing reindeer seasoned with the beard hairs of the tragically hip, the tears of Exeter City failures and the scent of bribery and corruption.

Swanny.
Why do you go from being one of the most considered and enlightening posters on here when you talk about anything other than Potter to a total madman when we lose and people start moaning about him?

It's like you are a robot. At the end of the day I have no idea why you are here, and why you are 'supporting' our club, it doesn't make sense to me. I don't support a Swedish a team. I don't feel the need to flood the messageboards of random teams around the world.

So, I know you probably don't get it, but it matters to us right? Do you not get that?
This is the thing I just don't understand. Why do you like football if it's just science and stats and meh and meh?

Have you even been to an actual game before?

Im not the robot. Imagine talking like some of you do about the owner/the staff/the players, THAT is robotic. They are humans but not treated like it. Its disgusting. Back when it was a pub thing it was private, isolated trashtalk. You could say shit like "Aaron Connolly is a **** with the personality of a ****", and one of two things would happen - Connolly would either randomly be in the pub, hear it, and he would bea the shit out of you, or he wouldnt hear it and never care about it. This shit on NSC and on wherever Millwall fans hang out is more like medieval shaming of people in public in front of a crowd. That shit is robotic.

Short term the attitude that you can treat humans, especially if they play a bit of football, however you like is going to be bad for the confidence of those players. Not that you give a shit about that, so lets look into that a bit further: promoting and defending this "lets hate this and this guy" culture that you see as "acts of passion" is not only going to affect Potter, Connolly or Burn and their families etc, but also your own sons and daughters and grand-sons and grand-daughters.

Im not the robot. A dozen or so in here however might just be.

Great post.

Nothing against Swansman, but lifetime supporters of any club would be fed up and analytical, perhaps finger pointing after an entire year of so many poor results.

Supporters simply don’t talk in terms of “wow, we’re 17th in an elite league” after yet another defeat.

Yep. Generally I've been pretty accepting of our situation - take it on the chin, much more important things to worry about, etc.
Tonight, the team selection pissed me off, the performance (first half OK enough, second pathetic) tipped me over the edge, as it seems to have a significant number of fans. I'm sure I'll be fine in the morning, but tonight I still feel pretty fvcked off with the whole situation. Patronising non-fans isn't welcome

If you're not fed up by now you're not a fan, simple. Sorry Swansey you clearly are not a fan of BHA but one of Potter. Can't you go start a Potter forum or something?

I am Potter in and continue to be so but behave Swanny people who support the club are entitled to their opinions...

Some of it is OTT but its an emotive game and we DO care otherwise we wouldn't be here.

Oh do f*** off! You will never talk for me/us and you have absolutely no concept of what it is to have supported our club through thick and thin.

Sigh.

Swansman you make many valid points in general football talk and you offer humour and a touch of quirkiness to the board, but please stop with your patronising posts on a board full of pissed off fans who are sick of their club rarely winning and rarely looking like winning a game of football.

Tell me a set of fans who wouldn't be a tad pissed off and reactive after our 2020 record, no matter what league they were in?

Simply, we don't want to be relegated. Currently, there is only one way we are going.

Being pissed off is normal in a situation like this. Personally I just feel very empty and tired after a loss like tonight, but I understand that some people are raging. But some of it is just out of control and too ****ing primitive. If NSC would go down for a few hours and a day, would you start a dozen threads somewhere making bizarre psychoanalysis shit based on the mods last photos on Facebook and whatnot? Posts about how dumb and ugly and mentally weak or poor they are that couldnt pay the server cost, or whatever, in time? Its absurd behaviour and its absurd behaviour when it comes down to the people at the club as well, all of them trying their best to please your arses.

If Ive read the history about this site right - and please correct me if Im wrong as I find it interesting - the forum was already taken down one time because people couldnt behave like people. The criticism and rage is one thing, the constant witchhunt is another thing - its obscene, and most of you would never dare to say the same shit to these people face to face. Its a different thing if you are i.e. Charlton or Barnet run by criminals, asset strippers, managers with their tongue deep in shady agents, match fixing players or whatnot, but thats not the case in Brighton.

But....
You don't need to fight our players corners. Connolly, for instance, recently showed off his lovely new house on Instagram. I'm sure he is okay.

Not good enough as you deserve better since you went through tough times unlike supporters of the other 91 clubs in the English league system.

Swanny, as we Albion fans aren’t used to welcoming others along for the ride as we’re a regional club who have spent so long in the lower leagues (and thus don’t expect people outside Sussex to start supporting us, let alone the country!), you’ve done incredibly well to endear yourself to many on here in such a short space of time and it’s great to have you along on the ride. But you’re lucky that the above comment hasn’t got you in more trouble than it has, as like somebody else said, if that was a Palace (or any opposition) fan they may very well have been booted off for that.

Also I'd definitely fancy my chances in a fight with little Aaron. Not that I'd ever hit the boy.

Dear Swanny.

NSC is not just a football forum, its a place where one can go and get advice and support from all things that matter in this world.
If you support the Albion, then this is place for you.
But as you're a guest, behave like one, don't overstay your welcome and respect what's said on here as enlightened debate with synical comedic values.

Kind regards

The most curious thing..
The club is only the 17th best in England and only somewhere around the 50th best in the world. Not good enough as you deserve better since you went through tough times unlike supporters of the other 91 clubs in the English league system.

TB, DA, GP, every player, someone is at fault for this crime against humanity. TB is not ambitious enough, DA who is he really and GP doesnt have your Hollywood teeth, but what about the guy (or girl, I wouldnt know) serving pies at the Amex? Is there some video or something that could make us map out there personalities, reach some conclusions and finally swap them for someone able to turn the club into the top 1 club in the world it needs and deserves to be?
I blame the toilets.

I completely agree some is ott, but you will find that on any sizeable forum the world over I'm certain in the same situation (doesn't make it right of course), and on here it's generally the same few posters who go ott. You get people from all walks of life on here, as at football grounds /on message boards anywhere. The level of vitriol is far worse in a fair few other countries when directed at players /managers too - again, doesn't make it right.

Thats really not all that matters to everyone (might be to some). A 20 year old rich guy getting bullied by lots of people is still a 20 year old guy getting bullied by lots of people.

Connolly is getting bullied by Brighton supporters?

Yea, with him its been bordering on that. Five or six of the players in the squad get some extra shit which is often not fair but not the end of the world either, but AC gets judged really hard and its often coupled with mean gossiping etc, the type of shit you would imagine people are too old to do on here.
