Don't know about the greatest but my favourite first 4 lines are from the Mighty Hawkwind in 1977 - Spirit of the Age

I would have liked you to have been deep frozen too, and waiting still as fresh in your flesh for my return to Earth

But your Father refused to sign the Forms to freeze you; Lets see you'd be about sixty now and long dead by the time I returned to Earth

My time held dreams were full of you as you were when I left, still under-age; Your android replica is playing up again, it's no joke, when she comes she moans another's name

That's the Spirit of the Age, that's the Spirit of the Age.........
:guitar:

You won't get that on X-Factor :lolol:

I don't give a damn, I don't f***ing care, I'm gonna kill my mum and dad and pull out me hair, Fed up with the dole and with the human race, gonna cut my liver out and shove it in your face.

I'm in the phone booth it's the one across the hall

Don't start me talking, i could talk all night

You drink your coffee and I sip my tea, and we're sitting here playing so cool, thinking "What will be, will be"

Living on a free food ticket, water in the milk from a hole in the roof where the rain came through

Baby, Baby, Baby..........

Not the greatest but very powerful nevertheless....

They disembarked in '45
And no one spoke and no one smiled
There were too many spaces in the line
