Yep.
Expectations very low for next season.
It might be fun watching local young players develop.
But it basically means we are in with Derbys, Glamorgan, Leics etc[/QUOTE]

Maybe he's settled or will be one of the two Overseas if that's been agreed
As an aside I see Chris Nash has retired, God I'm feeling old!

I cannot find any news on him retiring, just that he out of contract with Notts

Where did you read this ?
Yeah, I heard he was looking for another county.
I'm not sure it would be good move to get him back - although I was sorry that he left
The club has also confirmed that Van Zyl is returning as an overseas player, joining Head as part of our quota.
They're also hopeful of getting Khan and Wiese back as T20 players - suggesting that Head won't be playing in these
I have been harsh in my view of not just this season but all under JG's reign. However. today I received a letter from the club explaining the dire financial situation they are in. All staff; both playing and non playing have accepted voluntary salary reductions with most staff , including players, having been on furlough leave for long periods this summer. The club is now asking Life Members to make a financial donation. Many annual members have donated their 2020 membership fee to the club.
So as much as I criticise the standard of cricket there is no doubt that Sussex are fighting for their future, as are the other "smaller" counties. It would be awful if future generations are robbed of the joy of sitting in the sun at the County Ground, having a pint or two, gala pie and sandwiches at the ready as you chat away with your friends and occasionally watch the cricket as Sussex steer their way to an inevitable defeat in the sun or sea fret. Happy Days!
