May I recommend Liam Finn, a really talented singer-songwriter from New Zealand. His father is Neil Finn (lead singer of Crowded House) and his uncle Tim Finn (main man of Split Enz) but he has own style - much more experimental and edgy.
He's playing Friday and Saturday night. Definitely worth seeing!
King Blues, Evan Dando, BSP, Emiliana Torrini, Datarock and many more.
I was going to give it a miss this year, but there are so many bands playing it represents real value, if you are light on your feet you could probably get to see about 30 bands this weekend. I'm hoping to see King Blues, BSP and Evan Dando and I'll just take my chances with the rest.
Want to see Idlewild on Saturday but not sure it's worth £25 for the day ticket unless I get to see some other good bands. Can't make the other two days.
elipse street gig is outside geminis on the beach, i have a feeling its the macabees but dont quote me on that, if i find out anymore will post on here.
- Titus Andronicus (if you like US punky Pogues/Bright Eyes/Libertines)
- Sweethead (one of Queens of the Stone Age with a VERY sexy female singer, nothing released yet)
- Gang Of four (post punk legends ripped off by many bands, from Elastica to Bloc Party).
but.... if it means i can't get in to see any of them, then i'll be well annoyed!
