Thats not how it works is it? The government develops a budget, then spendsthe money into the economy by clicking on a computer keyboard, to credit the central bank, then takes some of it back in taxes, then just throws the money away (or actually by pressing the delete key). It neither needs to tax or borrow since in the case of the UK, it can "print" its own money.

Erm, NO it is not how it works. Ever looked at a note or coin? Does not say UK Government on it. It says Bank of England.

The BofE is a private company owned by private individuals who we are not allowed to know (sounds staggering but try and find out who owns it).

Suggest you educate yourself on the subject before you spout b0llocks....

All politicians lie, or tell half truths or fail to say things. That's the nature of the profession that they have created.
A liar amongst liars.

The one of the group of liars who has a particular reputation for lying.

Quite an accolade.

The fact that they’ve now moved to the following narrative (280,000 (now) increasing to 330,000) just show’s their contempt for the electorate. This is clearly a message for former Labour Northern Brexiteers; the Tories must view them as very very dim in order to sell them the nursing lie in this current format. Disgraceful but perfectly matching the values and personality of their nasty leader, Boris the Liar.

Here is the Health Secretary lying to the electorate:

The people that vote for them are dim though

Please tell me you don't really believe that's how it works ? In other words you're suggesting the government just creates the money it needs ? It doesn't .... although in theory it could. It would cause hyper-inflation though. For examples I'll point you to post WWI Germany ( where it was cheaper to paper your walls in money than buy wallpaper ) and more recently Zimbabwe.

Gods country fortnightly
In which case, at an average of 27.5k nurses leaving per year reduced to 8.5k per year, the Tories would need 92,500 ‘new’ nurses to hit Hancock’s figures of moving from 280,000 to 330,000. I don’t know why they are not pushing out that figure?

This stat should really help the Tories build migration from the likes of China, India & Pakistan:

‘The biggest group of foreign NHS workers are from the EU - 56 in every 1,000.’

Don't worry once "Magic Matty Hancock" really gets stuck in I reckon we'll only need 22.5k from the developing world, no one will ever want to leave.

Are you trying to say that Johnson hasn’t lied to us repeatedly?

You can’t be serious.

If you care to present around 14000 individual instance then I will believe Nick the Naieve31. Johnson has lied, just like all politicians do, even JC, but throwing imaginary totals of lies around is just twaddle.

You don't actually think that's how it works do you?

Oh dear.

This is not true at all - the Bank of England was nationalised in 1946 and is now owned by the UK Government - it's even on their website: https://www.bankofengland.co.uk/about/governance-and-funding

Oi show some respect that’s the next chancellor you are talking to :D

I can cite several professors of economics, and senior financial traders who have carried out detailed research into how money actually works within the economies of countries with their own currencies who would agree with me. I realise this is going to be a major paradigm shift for some people used to the old neo-con model. How do you think it works then?
