Do UKIP still exist as anything other than a laughing stock? I don't even know which racist / sexist / bigot (delete as appropriate when they are sacked for one or more) is in charge now. :lolol:

I think so. Now they've served their purpose as a pressure group (which is what they should have stayed as, just a cross party pressure group campaigning for Brexit) they've now become a quasi-respectable home for the EDF and BNP members/supporters who don't want to openly come out and say what they are. Pretty irrelevant now - I suspect the Brexit Party (if it doesn't do a deal with the Tories to avoid splitting the Leave vote) will get more votes.

I doubt they'll do a deal. My local MP is hard right wing ERG, Boris groupie, but the Brexit Co. have already announced their candidate.

Lib Dem for me, unless Labour ditch Corbyn, come out as a full remain party and are the best option locally.

I believe the Brexit party - or Farage anyway - suggested a deal/cooperation with the Tories a while back, and Boris rejected the idea. I wonder if he'll change his mind .....................

You can vote for Labour in the next election and not be an antisemite. However, voting to put Corbyn in power is announcing you are willing to tolerate antisemitism. There is no ambiguity or blurred line on this as there may have been in 2017. So Labour won’t be getting my vote. I voted Remain but am a Democrat & we need a Brexit. So living in Carolyn Lucas territory I will be voting Conservative. Let’s get Brexit sorted & move on.

Voting Peter Kyle would not make me an antisemite and neither is he. Voting for a Dominic Cummings controlled PM is the danger for democrats.

I find it hard to accept this line of reasoning. Corbyn and much of labour are pro - Palestine and anti right - wing Israel, but this has become equated with anti - semitism and is now casually accepted by the public at large. It doesn't chime with me

A mate who’s a local Labour member told me there was a special meeting planned for 9 November. When would candidates have to be declared by?

I think the process takes 8-12 weeks from that date.

Behaviour of both main leaders abysmal with kicking out or aiming to kick out members.

Kenneth Clarke, in particular, deserves better and his deselection shows the new OED of Democracy..

You'll find some unfortunate Islamophobia among some Tories and Brexit Party members though. Two wrongs and all that.

It will be interesting to see how much press / air time Nigel gets.

Previously he/UKIP have had a disproportionate amount of press IMO, and with his party at around 10% in opinion polls you would expect a similar level of interest in what he has to say. However, this time I think he will struggle to get a platform.
