I’ve noticed that Bojo the clown will come up against Labour’s Ali Milani (he was on Newsnight last night) if he is not moved off the front line to a safe seat.

https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/amp....his-hands-could-uxbridge-unseat-boris-johnson

I’ve attended a number of events with the impressive Ali speaking/chairing at and I’m pretty sure he can take Bojo out, especially if the Lib Dem’s & Greens pull their candidates.

News of Bojo running scared to a safe seat should be with us soon, if not, bet on Ali to win, you won’t regret it!

Is that the same 'impressive' Ali Milani who has an interesting back catalogue of tweets?

“Nah u won’t mate. It’ll cost you a pound #jew.”

“I want to be the President of Israel. They have a self desruct button right ?”

“your Israel is a land built on ethnic cleansing and colonialism. Oppression is something your people should know about”

“Israel has no right to exist”

3,000 deaths will not be at peace until the truth is revealed! #falseflag

It is and will forever be, until a thorough independent investigation is done, my position that the US gov. Knew of the attack in advance

I can see why he would feel so at home in Corbyn's Labour party ..

Today's leadership speeches

Firstly, surprised at Swinson. She had a lot of words to say but actually said very little. Had ideals but no solutions or answers, I'd be worried if I was a remainer betting on this horse . Every chance of letting brexit through the back door.

Corbyn however will have some Tories worried with his confident Brexit Speech. Turned indecision into a positive promising to listen to the 99% , not just the 52%.

Game on.

By ‘causing a stir’, you mean making us all laugh, at the beautiful irony, of Farage Inc taking votes off the Tories, and helping to scupper the whole sorry exercise?

Go Nigel :clap2::clap:

I think theres one possibly racist tweet in there, the first one, the rest is expressing disgust at the Israeli state. You clearly dont agree with him but its a legitimate foreign policy positron to have.

Anyway since when were we so enthralled to the Israelis and the Jewish vote. People go around absolutely laying into Muslims and middle Eastern countries but say one thing about Israel and your branded a racist, you and your entire political brethren

Pretty sure he was 16 or 17 when he tweeted those, and apologised for his adolescent rhetoric.

Prime Minister was Secretary of State when he suggested burka wearing women were like bank robbers who looked like letterboxes, and black African's as 'piccaninnies' with 'watermelon smiles' – of course he was an elected official at the time in high office but never apologised.

A repellent set of tweets. Absolutely no doubt about that and no excusing it.

Here's where he is now:
https://twitter.com/armilani_/status/1152233400847294464?lang=en

Including:

'this year I was fortunate enough to go to Aushwitz-Birkenau with the Holocaust Memorial Trust with over 100 of students leaders - educating everyone on the stark history of anti-Semitism'

Not excusing anything. Make up your own minds (as though most people on this thread haven't already). Just letting people know those tweets are from when he was 17 and definitely not his views now.

As uncomfortable as it may be for some the reality is that the best, and probably only, chance of averting a hard brexit is Labour. Unless your seat was a genuine Conservative-LibDem marginal in 2017, the most tactical ant-brexit vote is likely to be Labour

Most, not all

While I am no fan of the current government of Israel (to put it very mildly) there is a way of expressing views on Israel that crosses a line. And 17 year old Ali definitely crossed that line (which he doesn't dispute)

With a name like Ali, I'm not sure why you would find what he says objectionable

The point I was trying to make about anti-semitism is not whether Corbyn is or isn't an anti-semite. We know that Labour MPs have left the party due to anti-semitic abuse that they or their colleagues have received. We know that party members and party workers have also left because of it (see Panorama and the row with Tom Watson that came after it). We have Labour MP's on TV still saying how disgraceful and sad the anti-semitism issue is within the Labour Party (see Politics Live yesterday).

It matters not whether Corbyn is or isn't anti-semitic - what matters is that under his leadership the issue has been allowed to fester and persist for far too long giving the impression that there is an issue of anti-semitism in his party. That is his failure.
