They won't go.

Not because of any tax proposals anyway.

Show me any reliable evidence that tax policy has an impact one way or another or the decisions that multinational companies take in terms of moving in, or out, of a country?

They say it does (why wouldn't they) but its just a lobbying tool. The evidence is that it make so little difference as to be irrelevant.

Same applies to wealthy individuals.

Real (eg not setting up in a country on paper for profit shifting purposes) investment decisions are based on stability, infrastructure, access to markets, skilled workforce etc. Not on tax.

The Tories running down our country, our health system, our education system, creating instability and division...and of course the threat of Brexit. That is what will put genuine investors off.

However, we need a Labour government in order to facilitate Phil Collin's exit.

Personally think that anti Semitism is the biggest issue in this election but not sure about this video - does it belittle or make light of the issue, or is it hard hitting in a way that I don't quite understand? Who created it and put it out there?

It’s not that exactly. Companies and entrepreneurs, in this smaller planet, are freely able to choose an economy where taxes are lower, bureaucracy less. France hit businesses and wealth creators with vastly increased taxes, causing huge numbers to relocate to neighbours such as the UK. It hit France hard, helped bring down a government and pro-business/lower taxes Macron won in a landslide. He’s also tackling their big government of a 100 years of codes enshrined in law. Ireland and Netherlands have similarly attracted huge inwards investment relative to their small economies, with a regime similar to Macron’s. I acted for many French nationals born n bred, who relocated to the UK in the Hollande years, they openly admitted only due to the contrasting tax and bureaucracy ethos’s. It really does happen, counter intuitively reducing the total tax take by big numbers.

promising to borrowing hundreds of billions is not "costing". its economic illiterate nonsense, they're all at it this election.

Not if you are getting assets for your money. If they borrow to build houses, to put tenants in, that pay rent, it pays off. If they buy the water companies, they collect the water rates, or whatever it is we will have. If they buy the Railways, they get the ticket revenue. If these things did not offer a return, why were PLC's interested in having them?

Dell and Apple setup European operations in Ireland for low corporation tax, Amazon in Luxembourg for low VAT (originally)... the entire reason we have the problem is because those companies setup in particular countries for tax reasons. the lobbyist overplay it - Google isnt going to leave King Cross any time soon - but its extremely shortsighted to pretend it wont have an impact. We know tax changes behavior, we tax some things specifically for this reason, so why wouldnt we expect a change?

Dividend tax up from 7.5% to 20% up to 50k total income **
Dividend tax up from 32.1% to 40% in that next band up.
Abolition of CGT annual exemption and entrepreneurs relief when retiring.
Greater income tax rate over £80k income.
Higher Corp Tax rate.

Are going to hit all the freelancers, small businessmen, one man band and husband and wife limited companies in a very big way in hard cash. Knowing many NSC’ers through pm’s etc over the years, there are an awful lot of people on NSC going to be hit hard (most from my knowledge Remainers and anti Boris).

** alone will cost a couple each earning £50k in total, from a company or two, £9,375 in additional annual income tax to quantify just one tax.

NOT a political comment, just a hard taxation fact.

People such a BBC, IT and Project Manager freelancers operating through a ltd co, earning per hour say £500 to infinity, are going to face eye watering increases in annual tax bills.

Interesting times to say the least. If elected.

So much for only taxing the rich!

Why wont Corbyn just state his favoured option of a negotiated Brexit or the remain option if Labour are in power?

The Labour manifesto promises to build 100,000 council houses per year plus a further 50,000 low cost social housing this is fundimentaly the most important thing needed for the youth of today I am really happy with this and it has confirmed I will be voting Labour, as they always say you never loose buying a home the value over the long term will increase so it's a national investment that we can all benifit from

A lack of awareness about presentation does not do anyone any favours. You know, those kids at school that were really nice guys, but never ever got a girlfriend. That’s Jezza, apart from if you count the really, really thick girl that couldn’t even count.

It is just plain weird, to make a thing of appearances, when their own man is five or six stone overweight (yet still manages to find suits too big for him) with hair like a badly drawn cartoon character.

You obviously don't see the contradiction here . .

Good grief! Pointing out the contradiction is literally, the POINT of my post!
