I think Lewis Dunk has a great CV. You are rambling.

In a way, absolutely. I think it is a lovely CV from a romantic viewpoint. Point is that CV does not matter very much in football: knowledge and quality matters.

Even if it mattered, Potters CV isnt bad either. Not long ago he was the last standing English manager in the European cups despite coaching the team of some Swedish ski resort.

**** goals, we need lids

Did you see the lid GP had in that video, off/on/off/on/off on/off on again, the wonder of smooth threads sealing fluid from a safe bottle . .

I think I need a lie down :lolol:
And to add insult to injury he’s probably 90% more likely to luzz his bottle than we are.

4 soft wins out of first 5 is now 4 soft wins out of first 13. Every time the EPL plays a round of games we slip another place. We'll be 14th going into 2022. As for attention seeking, is that what we must now call that small minority of posters that don't start every post with 'I love Graham Potter but...'? It's what the Cult Of Potter always do. The faith may finally be wavering as reality sets in :lolol:

So it looks like you are not actually watching the football we've been playing then? Or you have been but know nothing about football. You're just being contrary for attention. Another real life nobody?

It’s where you finish that’s important and that start seems an awfully long way away now back to huffing and puffing in front of goal.

Again... someone who seems to have not been actually watching the football we've been playing.

Not so much not watching, but for some the football is almost irrelevant to the result, like the 2 aren't actually linked. There is no enjoyment of the game itself without the result. It's quantum physics in a way, that the flow of time during a game isn't the thing that shapes the result at the end. The Cult of Potter is replaced with the Cult of the Result.

The media has largely caused this. While football is a 'results business' for owners, sponsors and investors who want a return on investment, it shouldn't be for fans, we are in the 'supporting our team' business, which is through thick and thin. I kind of get sick and tired of fans referring to 'it is a results business' because you may as well be wearing a Sky jacket and be part of the evil empire rather than the rebellion.

I don’t get to the Amex to much these days for a few reasons. I did go to Everton & Newcastle. Everton we were all over the place, Newcastle second half was diabolical and In all honesty I could only see one winner luckily Sanchez put the team before himself. Villa away Potter made diabolical subs which cost the game & Leeds told its own story we couldn’t beat a really crap team again at the Amex.

I was wondering if you are referring to this football we have been playing?

I've been watching...

Free-kicks on the halfway line kicked back to the keeper
The crosses with no-one on the end
Locadia playing in the Premier League!
Bissouma's shots at the crowd
The corners which don't get past the first man
Free-kicks on the halfway line kicked back to the keeper - did I mention those?
The missed tap-ins
The struggles against out-of-form teams

Of course, there has been some great stuff too - but plenty to get frustrated about. (And that's just the on-field stuff)

Exonerates Lallana, Moder etc a little much for me

You also missed, take huge risks to play round the press, then slow things right up so they can get their shape back

Can you clarify what the Rebellion wear so I can make sure I'm not a casualty of friendly fire?

I'd say I've got one foot in this cohort.

I can absolutely enjoy the way we play, and regularly do, but playing that way without getting the win does tend to put a stain on it for me. Later in life when I'm thinking back over games I'm not going to remember that time we played well but came away with a draw against Leeds. I'm going to remember that time we stuffed them in the Championship

I kind of disagree with the second bit too, about the 'supporting our team' business. We can support the team and be miffed that we can't seem to put teams away.

True. Wasn't intended to be an exhaustive list.

BTW... the elephant in the room here...

Most fans would prefer 3-3 (for example) to 0-0!

For me it is a results business - always has been regardless of our manager.

Lovely football + result 0-0 = me frustrated
Rubbish football + result 1-0 to Albion = me happy (as I forget the rubbish football)

Sorry for not understanding how it should be :albion2:
