I have to say I didn't like the proposed images of the East Upper when I first saw them, but seeing them in the flesh last night changed my opinion. Who cares if there are a few hundred of seats missing? It's not like we don't have another 29,000 of them elsewhere....

I think you'll find that there are some posters on a previous related thread who are totally obsessed that we haven't crammed in the max number of seats at any cost!

Agree. I was very dubious when I saw the plans but it looks absolutely f***ing BRILLIANT in real life. Also, filling in the corners just makes the south end look like it belongs in a proper big-time arena rather than a medium-sized one. I'm not going to have the words to describe how good the completed Amex is once it happens.

They are disabled toilets and food kiosks at both ends, the viewing platforms are to provide premium views for the disabled as opposed to pitch side only. Great idea but could surely have been done a bit more 'aesthetically pleasing'

Given what they sufferered at Withdean (stuck in the corner under a tablecloth) this will come as state of the art.
