I think people are aware enough to understand the inherant bias in news - including the BBC.

If you go back in the thread this has been reported over here and spoken about in House of Commons and documented in Hansard last month. It's real, the suing is real, the foreign office cover up is real - bias or no bias.

All news sources are biased, you just have to be clever enough to recognise where its coming from. RT has been shining a light on some factual stuff that the American and UK Government would rather you didn't see. It sometimes does a better job of questioning authority in this country than our MSM does.

You have totally missed my point. I'm saying understand the source, take into account the bias but don't just denounce anything that Russia Today prints as being inaccurate because that is miles from the truth.

The BBC has its own blind spots but people don't denounce it as a state sponsored propaganda machine (which to some extent it is....)

I didn't miss your point at all. I agree with it. I simply wanted to confirm that the St Helena story has been covered by a number of news outlets. I personally find it a particularly interesting story, because my former wife (who works in child protection) once seriously considered applying for a job in St Helena. Recent events seem to confirm that the work would have been very challenging.
