I have jsut started reading the book, and am about to put it down at page 45 for good. So far it reads like a guide book for Paris.

The question is, is the book really worth the hype?

Depends - it's nothing earth-shattering so you might wonder what the fuss is about but I'd say it's entertaining enough. I'm not normally a massive fan of fiction but it's written with a cliffhanger at the end of each chapter so it sucks you in.

Forget the hype, Paul, read it for its own value, then judge.

Depends if you like word puzzles, religious history, a whodunnit and an entente cordiale travelogue.

I stopped reading it as well, couldn't get into it at all. Might see the film and then try and read the book again afterwards.

Anyway, for what's it's worth I thoroughly enjoyed this book from start to finish.

Saying that, Angels and Demons is EVEN better....
