Why not? As I understand it I can now go to my childrens house for a barbecue with my children and grandchildren

As I have six grandchildren spread through three lots of parents that means three free meals for me.

It’s been said that the virus really doesn’t survive long outdoors on objects, it’s air transmission that is the danger with COVID, most studies found infected people were pretty much always infected by particles in enclosed spaces and that transmission by airborne particles outdoors was so highly unlikely that the risk is near nil. This is where hygiene becomes so important, people MUST take their hygiene very seriously, hand sanitiser and hand washing are crucial, it’s the best way of stopping the spread of germs, seen as 81% of people have no symptoms it’s important everyone does this.

I think hygiene is the most important factor in the spread of the virus full stop myself, South Korean people are taught from a very young age how important hygiene is, and the virus has barely got a foothold over there despite them not locking down at all.

Yup. This is why people need to stop quoting the "only 7% infected" figures like it's fact. It isn't.

The science is now becoming pretty deafening on this - many people will be immune via other means.

Yeah definitely, the fact that only 7% of people in Stockholm apparently have antibodies shows you there is something way more going on that we don’t quite understand yet, it will be interesting to see the results of the
Interleukin 7 drug trial, a drug that is meant to boost these T cells.

It's fascinating stuff - there is so much research resource being thrown at this globally the scene is changing literally every day..................I'm personally really quite optimistic about how we could come out of this much more quickly and effectively than has been feared - vaccine being developed, better and faster treatment being understood and rolled out, clear articulation of vulnerability factors to allow those more at risk to take appropriate action, clear knowledge of relative risk to various groups, track and trace allowing pinpointing of local outbreaks and subsequent action where necessary to limit further spread, improving knowledge of how the virus is transmitted (impacting dos and don'ts), very little evidence of second waves anywhere so far - and an overarching background of the virus appearing to be dying out of it's own accord somewhat.

An important thing to take from [MENTION=27279]dazzer6666[/MENTION]'s post - no single thing on its own will defeat covid in the short term. However, all the things dazzer mentions put together will make a huge difference.

I wonder if something good can come out of this and make people have better hygiene practices in the cold and flu season. I feel like that's something the government should be ramming down our throats all day every day - wash your hands you dirty pigs!
