Case numbers lower again today, and starting to look like week-on-week deaths and hospitalisations are flattening out (as would expected following the fall in infections)

593 Covid-related hospital admissions in England yesterday, down from the peak of 836 on 25/7.
Imho this is good news. Surprised at how advanced the programme is, but it makes sense with winter/indoor living approaching by then.

Another drop in new cases today to 21900, the spectre of 100 000 cases a day in an exit wave is starting to look very very wide of the mark.
At what point do we say the exit wave didn't happen?
