Wife and I have both just come back from being vaccinated, all very well organised and a big thanks to all the volunteers giving up their weekends to help things run smoothly .

478,248 first doses yesterday, plus 1,821 second doses - another 70k up on Thursday’s total.
Positive cases 33,552 - another significant drop and the lowest for a long time (before Christmas I think). 7 day number down 23.5%.
A couple more weeks of solid vaccination figures, lowering cases and hopefully then the conversation can start to cautiously turn towards a plan about lowering restrictions.

That’s incredible work, equating to a rate of over 3.3m a week. The target is to have vaccinated 15m people by mid-Feb, which I always felt was ambitious. If yesterday’s rate is maintained (let alone improved upon) the actual figure will be more like 16.5m.
Thats a colossal achievement.
