Brighton factually.....
The Mighty Enormous Leeds singing 'Premier League again'. ...what could possibly go wrong?
I hope so, got them in an e/w Trixie with Birmingham and Doncaster to win their respective leagues.

Doncaster need to sort themselves out though, hoping for a late surge from them.

all in the top three will sort me for a weekend away somewhere.

HUMDINGER of a 0-0 tonight. Two dubious penalties saved in the final ten minutes by Trafford who is quickly becoming the Championship Martinez with his shitehousery.

Agree to a point, but QPR, Watford, Millwall and Portsmouth would paint a far prettier top 4.
Yes and no. Portsmouth would never add anything meaningful to the upper echelons of the English game. They're bell ends in a shit ground, remember? As for other local games, the bunfight for away tickets is bad enough already. At least with Northern teams there is a reasonable chance of getting tickets if you want to make a day of it

Fair enough but my points level means I won't have an issue.
The hotels are decent enough from experience (Sunderland aside in recent trips) bit a closeish awayday on the rattler is easier.
Stayed in Blackburn on the most recent Burnley trip, very nice !

The referee was so poor in that game. Both penalty decisions were dodgy, but to let Trafford get away with as much as he did was scandalous. He actually undid his own laces before the kick was taken, giving him an excuse to wander off, remove his gloves, do the boots up and then in a glacially slow manner pull each glove back on. For the second kick he suddenly and unexpectedly developed cramp, requiring the physio's appearance on the pitch and making the kicker wait again. That he didn't get booked the first time was pathetic by the official. Then he basically laughed smugly about it in interview. Hope Burnley don't come up (though I'm sure Trafford will end up somewhere like Newcastle if they don't, and probably if they do, in fact).

I seem to recall the same. Both dubious decisions.

Watching the match tonight, Burnley seem to have successfully reduced the Leeds' threat. I watch all Leeds matches and they are unrecognisable here.

Like you, I would rather Burnley stay down. This current game plan will be amplified

I also can't bear Scott Parker and his sad little interview face and whiney voice, and those jackets he wears with the four white stripe branding on the sleeve.

And the fact he keeps getting jobs with Championship sides who have Premier League ready squads, and just about scrapes them up to promotion every time when he should be smashing the league out of sight.

For me it's more that Burnley will bring this football style upstairs. If we got frustrated with Everton...

It's effective and their defensive record is outstanding. But you're probably right, they'd be just as good if they knew you can cross into the final third more than ten times a match. They've got quality. It can't be much fun for supporters who actually want to be entertained

I don't know how they play these days, to be honest. They were Dycheball merchants for years, and then suddenly went all fancy pants when Kompany turned up. Once they reached the PL again, they realised they weren't good enough at it and promptly got relegated again. I honestly couldn't tell you what sort of football Parker plays.

You're right about the quality they have. Everything is based on a water tight defence. And it is one of the best the Championship has seen. Defence, quality defence, in numbers. But it's very negative.

The Championship is a great watch, but poor in standard this year. Burnley have enough to park teams and seriously challenge, possibly come up. But I'd rather Leeds and Sheffield United. They'll probably struggle, but they are a good watch.
