I'm hoping there isn't a big IF on this and the under 21's get (for instance) rubbish seats at that price.

They would get the South stand wings and the East stand I would imagine. I don't mind though, £5 a game is bloody fantastic considering I would pay around £4-5 for a return from Haywards Heath!:clap2::clap2:

They've been shocked into it by these gates of 4k.
Excellent move, it needed doing. It really did.

Lets hope they let us go in the south stand. Still cant complain where you sit for that price, saying that i wouldnt pay anything to sit in the family stand.

is a great idea both the under 21's and under 10's bits and must surely help the crowds

"Under 21s can buy a season ticket in the south or east stands next season from £120, equivalent to a fiver a game"

Just read that adult season tickets are NOT being reduced. Very surprised (and disappointed) at that.

Says South and East in the story.

Never really liked the view from the far "Western Wing" of the South Block, but the end nearer the exit (especially if you get up high) is a nice view, with the added attraction of it being easier to get out.

Just the wings perhaps? Hell I really don't care, £5 a game is an absolute bargain and means I can pay for it up front.
It's comparable to 3 away trips for the ticket, costa coach, programme etc. Absolutely amazing considering you get the train included too. :albion2:

I was surprised, but I understand the club have to take steps to get the younger fans in. It's urgent really, we've probably lost a generation of fans to other teams.

If the price of getting the age demographic down is that, then it's a price worth paying.

Got to get the younger fans into the habit of going, "habit" being the important word. The fact that a group of young fans will now see this as an affordable thing to do on a weekend is absolutely superb.

The fans of the future are the most important thing now regarding the club, even more so that we've got a new stadium to pay for.

Get them into the habit now and increase the chances of them paying the full adult price in a few years at Falmer.

Best thing the club has done in a long time re: Withdean.

Well done the club, no let's start advertising the club as the only league club in Sussex and bring back the fans from the edges of the county (especially Kent Border) who have been out of the habit for YEARS.

Would be interested if anyone could work out how much it has cost to see the 23 games this year on a game by game basis, taking into account all the £10 games and the 50% reductions etc etc.

I totally agree with the u-21 prices, and am very pleased the club is trying to do something. I just hoped that there was a movement (? among some premiership teams too) towards a more realistic price to watch football.

Yep - I'm a little disappointed too I guess, but this is a brave move. I think it needed something "drastic" like this.

Brighton - £120 (08/09, TBC) - Includes free travel voucher

Barnet - £152 (terraced)

I think this is a fantastic move by the club. It is so true that we have a lost generation of fans and this is a great way of tempting some into perhaps coming along and forming the habit that is watching the Albion on a Saturday afternoon.

I was hoping for a reduction in the normal adult price but can accept the price staying the same in the light of, hopefully, a good take up of the U21 offer which will bring more atmosphere to Withdean, making it more enjoyable for all and also will help the club's long term prospects.
