First one I remember as a child was “love thy neighbour” absolutely loved it. Shame it would never be shown again due to the snowflakes of the modern era.

There was another sitcom I liked: it was set on a Scottish airline and starred Alan Cumming and Forbes Masson. One of the campest shows I've ever seen. Was it called The High Life?

Finally, someone mentioning Curb, surely the funniest US comedy? Been watching Schitt’s Creek and I really love that, too. In the U.K., I vote for the classics, Steptoe, Porridge, Rising Damp, Only Fools, Partridge etc.
