He certainly did well in 75. The album Born to Run has a number of classic tracks. It's an amazingly brilliant and consistent album.

I just LOVE Jungleland. It is a truely beautiful piece of Music. The piano and that sax solo from Clarence Clemons. Surely the greatest ever rock sax solo.

I've just stuck it on, last song on Born to Run. It is damn fine. The album is rammed with classics though: Thunder Road, Backstreets, Born to Run, She's the One.

The hungry and the hunted........

I can never get into that album. I find it all a bit overblown and forced - it's too close to Bat Out of Hell, but lacks the tongue in cheap camp of that record. I like Born in the USA (album and song) much better.

The lyrics are lush , you can just imagine the story Bruce is telling. EVERYTHING about this song is magical. Infact it could be the greatest rock song ever written imo.

I have been known to well up a bit over some of Springsteen's lyrics. Good honest love and the open road.

I'm sorry but I find it hard to pick one track over all on Born to Run.

I'm going to quickly poor myself a beer and put it on from the start......

I have listened to it - it doesn't grab me, much too earnest. IMO as a song it is representative of an album that just tries too hard and is humourless and dull.

Without wishing to come over all fillosophickle and meeningful like I do think that a lot of his songs are like little film plots with guitars - see also "Atlantic City" (the Bruce track, not the film). Saw him live at Earls Court in 2000?, can't understate how truly wondrous a rock'n'roll machine the E - Street band is and Bruce without them is like Cheese Sarnies without chutney.

Is Clemons still part of it ?. His sax playing is incredible.
