Good points raised, of which some have flown beneath the hysterical media reporting who want shoot outs, arrests and dead terrorists. It would appear that the Belgium security apparatus,is way behind where it should be, given that in Brussels we have NATO Headquarters, the headquarters of the EU and a duty to their citizens and those of the EU. As the debate over the in or out continues I have to wonder how much we can rely on the security services of Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece, Austria, Germany, France etc given the appalling lack of basic intelligence gathering and action that we have seen. Cameron also appears to have gone quiet on how safe we are being in the EU. This whole episode is now becoming more amateur by the hour, French and Belgium security services rushing around the streets carrying weapons, raiding houses and arresting who?
They are all way off the mark, enter Donald Trump who has stated that western and EU governments are weak, despite his politics, its difficult to argue his point.
Our governments are in a state of flux, paralysed by opinion polls, placating this and that minority, focus groups and generally just not being up to the job.
What's difficult to accept is that in a few months time Trump, Putin and the North Koreans will all have their hands on a button of sorts. Anyone on this thread who enjoys being scared should probably take that thought away with them this afternoon.
