The Beach vs The Downs

Its too difficult, the downs is really nice, quiet and one of the greatest rural areas of great britain, but the beach is Great fun and loads of stuff to do than rather sit in a pub.
I think Ill have to go for the Downs, more for the fact Im there more often in the summer than on the beach

walking up part of the downs by pyecombe up and then down again along pyecombe golf club was really rather great

I prefer the beach to the downs but having said that I really do miss being able to get up the downs with my dog, we used to walk for miles and allways rested at the same place where I could sit on a bench and look out across the sea.

Pretty much sums it up, for me.
There's definately something to be said for being able to see the sea, I couldn't do without it. But not necessarily spend all day there, where as I can 'lose myself' up on the Downs.

NSC beach lovers - posers and druggies
NSC downs lovers - dog walkers who the police will be very keen to talk to when a body turns up

Beach on a summers evening - but for exercise and the view - it tends to be the Downs.

Walked over Truleigh to Devils Dyke Sunday morning - it was a simply glorious day.
