I'm not forced to subscribe to sky , I am however forced to pay the licence fee , hence my disquiet over this ridiculous piece , coupled with the BBC's constant whining over funding.....................

You are not forced to pay the licence fee, just get rid of TV, life is far better without it.*

*Apart from not being able to see Konnie Huq in her skimpies live of course.

Insofar as I'm 5 feet tall? Or live with my mother in my 40's?

Nah, I'm sure it's just that your rapier-like wit is too much for me, but that's gone right over my head.

I find the whole situation very confusing, in any case. If it is meant to portray St George, he was a Roman living in Syria, 800 years before the Crusades.
If they're Knights Templar, and Crusaders, then they're French.

Quite how you can wonder if people dressed in surcoats and chain mail could possibly be meant to portray someone from 800 years before the crusades puzzles me , as does your assertion that the knights templar, crusaders et al were all french, they werent , there were obviously english crusaders , as there were knights templar and knights hospitaller.

The BBC are probably happy with their 1,022+ hits from NSC, in fact now they'll probably do more of this. You massive pleb.
Does it give you a bit of a warm glow , getting all brave behind your keyboard :wanker:

if you are going to wet your pants over a fancy dress costume i would strongly suggest that attending an England match at a tournament is really not the place for you.
best stay at home and watch the wrestling.......those are costumes to make your eyes water.

I love the BBC. Real value for money.

Of course, we could get rid of it and enjoy the choice of handing over £80 a month to a Sky like provider with an agenda.

Think I'd rather keep the BBC - and its ad free.

Reithian Values remain as relevant to the BBC today as when they were first coined. A balance must be struck between 'inform, educate and entertain', and while the BBC doesn't always get it right there are more positives than negatives.

Plus they've got Rachel Mackley.

and there we go... I tried... but this is exactly the reason threads like this end up in The Other Stuff.

Can we just banish him completely to this board? He can make even more threads on the exact same issue then.
