This 3hr Snowfall run from NASA is incredible (if it were to come off).

Sorry for posting so many of the images but grabbing a few wouldn't have done it justice.

To top it of, this is similar to what the 18z GFS main run has produced.

The GFS 18z Op run is even more insane than the earlier runs with no end to the cold in the next 9 days and some impressive snow events. It is only 1 run though but with support from ECM AND UKMO runs were looking good.

All very exciting if you like snow.

The 18z ensemble shows cold established all week, with the snow chances firmed up for Monday to Wednesday and still pretty good for Thursday to Saturday with Friday possibly very snowy.

Enjoy the thread. You will be glad to know I am off. It is all a bit too serious and hostile over what is a bit of snow, possibly. Everyone can agree with each other now and have a collective over the latest models. Cheerio

Why so frosty? Chill out.

the sites I have been looking at today made a little bit of wee come out.

We are back on are we not?

We were never not on! I think all of us have a fantastic chance of seeing some snow next week. The further East you are, the better.

I know it's trash forecast from this far out, but netweather has 57 hours of snow fall for Uckfield next Thurs afternoon through all of Fri & Sat. Most definitely going to be really peed off if all we get is some sleet and cold rain after these model runs!

Pardon the interruption but I love weather talk, can anyone point me in the direction of some good people to follow on "weather Twitter"?

The south east according to Meteociel has snow from Tuesday am through to Saturday heavy on Wed and Thurs!
