Statistically, it's more likely to snow at Easter than it is at Christmas. I think the forecast is for the north to get snow this week.

I know that I mentioned this a few weeks ago, but any indications of the temperature for the Brighton marathon day on 15 April 12? Just hoping it is not as hot as last year. Best wishes!

I was tweeting yesterday about the chance of some snow as the cold front pushes through with colder air behind. Could be interesting, but more likely disappointing.

I wonder if a snow day in April would be a bit cheeky. Lol

I recall it snowing quite a lot in April three or four years ago. Road was completely covered and then it melted by lunchtime!!!

I ran round going "snow, in April??" - you need to of seen Nanny McPhee to understand the voice I was attempting to use!!!

The forecasters are talking about snow in a number of places Tues into Wed. I'd say it'll be rain or sleet down here, but one thing that will occur is a biting NE wind for us. Whatever precipiation we get, we really need it.

the only forecaster who is saying that is Piers Corbyn, and he's mad.

Papa - what about cricket this weekend coming in the Tunbridge Wells area? All I see is pissing rain for rest of the week. I suspect the ground is already waterlogged but is there any hope? I have come to trust only your forecasting - the BBC et al is simply shite. They told me this mroning that is was a dry start in the South East with showers later - while it was pissing down outside.

What say you? Are you in for a dismal few weeks to come and can I expect to get any cricket in this weekend? Saturday if you're interested :)

There's a chance things might calm down a little Friday into Saturday, but the next pulse of rain (possibly thundery) could be flirting with the south from early Saturday.

Saturday's weather really is dependant upon the timing of the low's arrival from the south and just where it goes. If it slips to the West of us, we might escape (until sunday), but most models seem to have it arriving towards Saturday lunchtime.

I think this is probably the place to gloat that I've just come back from a week staying with my cousin in the Cairngorms, a couple of massive blizzards, 3 foot snow drifts up in the hills, got caught in some real flumping snowfalls and had a top day skiing at Aviemore. In between warm with blue skies - best weather in the country

Papa, as king of the weather forecasters, can you check you radar map, I want to go to Hove for 20/20 tonight but most sites are forecasting torrential rainfall.
Is it worth going tonight?

And my view of the weather is that it will be light rain from about 7pm maybe getting heavier, BUT it is showery so hard to tell.

Suspect we could end up with playing in the drizzle at the start with every possibility of a low over match.

I won 2 tickets to the Cricket tonight but have decided not to chance it as I don't want to travel down just to see a 10 over match!
